With this app, hopefully the annoying, and never-ending, "where are we going to eat" conversation will be a thing of the past. Now picking among your favorite places can be stress free. -To "Pick a Place", you can enter your favorite usual restaurants or categories of food (and even throw in a few new options) and hit "Help Me Decide" to be randomly told where you're going (and hopefully shifting the blame and responsibility away from you). -The app will save your lists so that you can always quickly pick a place to eat. -You can now utilize multiple lists to create lists of Restaurants for multiple scenarios that you may find yourself in, such as when you're in the mood for just fast food or just want a list for dessert choices. -Once you tap "help me decide" you will be presented with the decision as well as the nearest locations for the restaurant, or restaurants, that match the randomly selected choice. If you hit "list view" you can also interact with the list of places where you are able to call the place, go to their website, or even get directions (if the options are available). - There are also some new additional options such as "Nearby Places" where you can search for multiple places or categories of places around you using a certain search radius or you can tap "Try a New Place?" where you are presented with a random place around town that you can try if you're feeling particularly bold. Thank you for using Pick a Place! ### 2.5 — 2019-02-27 New in Version 2.5! - Re-introducing Siri Shortcuts! You can now add siri shortcuts called "Choose a Place for Me" and "Try a New Place". The first will randomly pick from your main or first list of places and take you straight to the results page. The Try a New Place shortcut will pick a random place nearby and show it in the results page. To create these shortcuts you must run the "Help me Decide" and "Try a New Place" buttons at least once. Then you go to settings, then Siri & Search, and then tap on the shortcuts and record your desired phrase that will invoke the shortcut. - Also new, there is now the ability to save items found in searches to your lists. If you use "Try a New Place" to find a random place around town and decide you want to add that place you can simply tap "list view" and then swipe left on the item. If you have categories enabled it will ask you which category you wish to add it to. - There are also bug fixes and interface updates. One of the updates is where the map under the "Nearby Places" search wasn't searching in the correct span. There are also some elements that were updated to increase visibility but decrease overall storage size requirements.
