The start of a session got rebuilt, and there is a new rule for who plays with whom. SAVE A SETUP AND START FROM IT If you run the same evening every week, you no longer rebuild it every week. Save the courts, the rules, the format and the round timer as a preset, name it, and start from it in one tap. Presets can be renamed, edited, deleted, and sent to whoever else runs your club. A HOME SCREEN The app used to open on the setup form whatever you came to do. It now opens on what you do next: a session in progress to resume, the setups you saved, your groups, and the evenings you have played. It only appears once you have something on it, so a first launch is the setup screen exactly as before. KEEP TWO PLAYERS APART Say that two people should never be partners, or never share a court at all. Rules live on the group, so you set them once and every session that group plays honours them. A single evening can add a rule for the night, or lift one, without changing the group. The schedule keeps them. It will leave a court empty before it breaks one, and it tells you before you start if a rule cannot be met. AN EVENING ENDS WITH A RESULT Finishing used to ask whether to save. Now it shows the standings and names a winner, and every session is kept either way. Stop after four rounds of seven and you still get a result. If two players finish level the app says so rather than picking one, and lets you record the call you made. The only question left is whether the night counts toward your group's lifetime records, and it is only asked when there is a group to count it toward. HISTORY YOU CAN CLEAN UP Saved sessions can be deleted, singly or in bulk. Deleting one does not touch anybody's lifetime record — the confirmation says what goes and what stays. GROUPS TRAVEL Send a group to another organizer as a file, with everybody's records intact. COURTS Each court's standard of play now says what it means: exactly that level, or that level and up. The session-wide switches are gone; a court carries its own rules and states them on the card. IF YOU PLAN THE WHOLE EVENING UP FRONT The rounds you have finished now sit above the rounds still to play, named and in order. Ticking one off used to drop it into a list at the foot of the screen labelled with nothing but a count, so the schedule looked as though it started at round two. Ticking one off can also be undone. The quality summary above them folds to a single line once you have read it, so the schedule is what is on screen. And on the score keypad, tapping the number you just tapped clears it - which is the way back from a score entered under the wrong team. ALSO The setup screen and the mid-session editor became one screen shown twice, so anything you can do before a session you can do during it. Somebody who turns up late is checked in from the group's own list, and their games count toward the group like everybody else's. Every player edit is now held until you apply it, including partner links. A name can be corrected after it is typed.
