Even though there are different tiers, there is a big leap in pricing between Plus and Pro plans with little additional functionality in the Pro plan for the average user who also creates regular games with friends. I can’t create any games now I cant even create a support ticket. I was able to before *2026-07-15, version 3.0.3* I can’t create any games. After filling in all the fields in the form, I clicked the Create Session button. The button briefly showed a loading spinner and then stopped. No session was created, and the page wasn’t redirected or refreshed, and I’m still on the same Create Session page ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2026-07-01, version 3.0.0* This app sucks. Lack of stats, limited play features. The last straw was when it censured me saying “screwed” in the chat. I’m over it. smh ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-06-07, version 2.2.5* The app got me to sign up, then tells me there is nobody playing. I click next week and the app wants $12.00 to see the future schedule. The present was free and had nothing listed so I couldn’t understand paying 12.00 to gamble if it will show a schedule or not. I found all the courts through google and plenty of people playing while this app showed ZERO! ### 1/5 — Bust *2026-01-22, version 2.1.3* Moving to Pickleheads from SWISH, and in the face of it, Pickleheads looked good. Once loaded, however, the app wouldn’t allow me to type ANYTHING in…no rating, address, locations or anything. I’m out. ### 1/5 — Sudden addition of added fees *2026-01-01, version 2.1.0* I’ve been using this app for six months and have loved it. Now, all of a sudden in 2026, the features I have been using are requiring a subscription of $14.99 per month. Six months ago, I would’ve given this app five stars — now they get one. ### 1/5 — Still in Beta mode *2025-12-15* Charging for an app that still has a lot of short comings. Our club uses it, but its use is still limited. For example you cannot invite members based on gender to a session; The only way is to create separate groups for each gender. The app does not do a good job of pairing partners for round robins. We recently had 12 members participate in 8 rounds of round robins. Two members were paired together for three of the 8 rounds. The notifications are hit and miss, sometimes you get too many and sometimes none at all. I don’t mind paying $1/month, but this app is not in a phase that should be paid for. **Developer response:** A quick clarification on pricing: players are not required to pay to use Pickleheads. The $1/month only applies when an organizer is running a high volume of round robins. In those cases, many games are being created, scheduled, and managed, and we hope everyone involved is getting a lot of value out of the tool. No app is ever truly finished. Subscriptions help support ongoing development and continued improvements as the product evolves. On your other points: 1) Inviting players by gender is supported today via filters in the invite players flow, though we agree it could be more discoverable. 2) The mixed madness algorithm should not pair the same partners three times in eight rounds. If that occurred, it may be due to an edge case with the number of players and courts. Either way, we’d want to investigate. Please reach out to support@pickleheads.com. This is absolutely ludicrous, these subscription based modeling is taking over all these businesses. Very unfortunate, will be deactivating and deleting app and moving on to another app. ### 1/5 — Bug in DUPR rating display *2025-01-25, version 1.0.39* There is a bug where the latest DUPR settings displayed next to a player’s name in a group is the “starting rating” of the last game played, not the “final rating” that has the last game taken into account. The app actually deserves 5 stars. But I am going to select 1 star here hoping to get the attention of the developers.
