## What is Pickleline?

Pickleline is a local replay tool for contested pickleball line calls.

Set the phone on a tripod, start the camera, and tap Capture when a call is disputed. Pickleline keeps a short rolling video buffer so you can review the previous few seconds in slow motion.

Clips stay on your device, expire automatically unless kept, and are never uploaded by the app.

Frame-precise Review Studio: scrub to any moment, single-step exact video frames to freeze the ball-contact frame, then drag a boundary line and a ball-mark pin onto the frame to settle the line call (USA Pickleball Rule 6.D.6). Your freeze frame, line, and ball mark save with the clip and survive a relaunch — all on-device, no new permissions or network.

### 1.3 — 2026-06-15

Pickleline 1.3 adds an integrated score keeper so you never need a second app on the court.

Score tab — on-court score keeper
Track doubles or singles matches in traditional side-out or rally scoring. The tab shows the live score in USA Pickleball announce format ("4-5-1"), the serving team, server number (doubles side-out), and the correct court side for the current server. Tap "Team A Won" or "Team B Won" after each rally — no buttons for each individual player needed. Undo the last rally anytime. Review the full rally-by-rally history for the current game. Configure the game point (11, 15, or 21) and start a new match in seconds.

Automatic score stamp on clips
When a match is active on the Score tab and you tap Capture on the Camera tab, the live score is stamped directly onto the clip. It appears as a badge in the library row, in the replay player, and in the camera HUD so you always know exactly where in the game a disputed call happened.

Rally history
Every rally is recorded with its score snapshot, serving team, server number, and serve side. Tap the history button during a match to review the complete play-by-play. The match persists across app launches so a long game doesn't get lost if you switch apps briefly.

### 1.2 — 2026-06-14

Pickleline 1.2 adds three new features for on-court replay review:

Shot and call tagging — tag every clip with a shot type (Serve, Return, Drive, Dink, Lob, Overhead, Drop, Erne) and a call type (Line Call, Service Fault, Kitchen Fault, Double Bounce, Let). Tags appear on each row in the library and you can filter the whole list by any tag with one tap.

Variable playback speed — the replay screen now lets you switch between 0.1x, 0.25x, 0.5x, and 1.0x. Use 0.1x to nearly freeze the frame at ball contact. Speed changes apply immediately mid-clip.

Replay Coach — the Pro tab is now a real line-call review tool: an 8-step checklist with expandable USA Pickleball rule citations, a full court dimensions reference (kitchen depth, service box width, net heights), a rules reference card for the five most disputed situations, and a live breakdown of how your tagged clips are distributed across shot and call types.
