I use Metroaccess and I’m outside the service area. This gets me to several locations to do things around my neighborhood and also gets me to Metroaccess Pickup points. But there’s one thing I miss after an update sometime back. The app would let you know the name of the driver who was coming to pick you up. It helps me to know what to expect, even if it’s a familiar situation. It’s an autistic thing and just the way my brain works. So if that feature could be brought back, I would really appreciate it. Fix the communication between customers and the people who are supposed to service those customers. 2. Fix the fact that wait times for rides are extremely inaccurate. 3. Fix the fact that there is no way to contact ANYONE while a ride time is just passing on by like customers don’t have places to get to through Pickup. 4. Fix the selection process and allow customers to see other ride pickup options even if one is already in transit so that if another bus is closer we can cancel the current and choose that one. 5. IF A 5 MINUTE PICKUP IS SELECTED IT SHOULD NOT TAKE 20 EXTRA MINUTES WITH NO COMMUNICATION AS TO WHY TO BE PICKED UP! A 25 MINUTE FUTURE PICK UP REQUEST SHOULD NOT JUST TURN INTO 5 MINUTES! Stop the excuses and just be better. The app will pin my Home but then it wants me to walk a quarter mile for pickup to a street address that does not even exist. Even the street address into my neighborhood is a street address that is for a totally different street. How hard is it to actually have software that works? Whenever I used to book a trip, it would come immediately and pick me up from my home to errands and vise versa. Now in most recent updates, the app has been consistently glitching through unexpected delays and extended periods of waiting moments, even upon booking a quick tiny distance trips. There are times when I just book from a bus stop very close all the way to home and it would even take 25 minutes or more just to travel less than a half-mile between each other. I ended up consistently calling customer support to speed up the process. But I just know if it’s the CapMetro’s fault or the software app itself. For nearly every ride I book, I always get a "You’re ride is delayed. We apologize." I am a person with an extreme panic disorder and these acts from the app are ultimately just a elite ruling-class propaganda in matters of neglect of our working class community here in Austin, TX. I resent all of these stressful moments that I’ve been mostly targeted by and I demand a more reliable app or more operators for every Pickup region in the city. And in case you come across being aware of most recent 5-star reviews for the app, these reviews are apparently fake. ### 3/5 — Works, some times. *2026-04-24, version 4.26.12* I’ve been using Metro pick up for about two weeks and the drivers has gotten my location on nine times out of 10. This actually needs some kind of safeguard when it comes to pick up as it doesn’t exactly read them correctly every time. And if there are some bus drivers that are very frustrated with you, take it out on the passengers making a lot of my rides uncomfortable, and I would prefer to walk or take the bus.
