I’m unfamiliar if anyone has had this issue as well, but I would be creating a character, and all of sudden, I get kicked out of the app, it also happens a lot with the ads- I get an ad, few minutes later I get kicked, it just makes me more annoyed than anything, since I’ve had to search for the content repeatedly and then get hit with a ad again- worried about the possibility of repetition. I apologize for the long paragraph, but this has been happening for a long while and wish for this to get fixed or adjusted at some point, overall, great game. ### 3/5 — Usually fun; kinda bummed *2026-08-21, version 2.0.4* Whenever I try to launch the app, it makes me agree to some terms. EIGHT! the app made my phone so hot it was like it’d been out in the sun with me for hours. absolutely absurd amount of ads to have for one maker and i’m sure it’s just to try and push people toward the subscription model but it’s going to do nothing but put me off of using picrew further because i should not have to pay for an app for it to be usable. extremely disappointed in this most recent update/choice from picrew. ### 2/5 — Issue *2026-08-10, version 2.0.4* I could not get past the terms of agreement screen. ### 2/5 — Very buggy, lack of variety. *2026-08-09, version 2.0.4* I love to create characters and support the artists of each image maker, but the app crashes every few minutes and kicks me out. I feel it’s a combination of the excess of ads and a poor interface. It’s prone to extreme lag, and searching for new image makers or ones I haven’t used before is difficult. The same image makers are recommended over and over on the home page. ### 3/5 — its pretty good *2026-08-08, version 2.0.4* i love the app but it has way too many ads. ### 1/5 — The best place for ocs!, but OH my god there’s to many adds *2026-08-06, version 2.0.4* This is by far the best character/OC/profile picture creator out there. It has so many different options with so many different art styles made by real talented artist artists I highly recommend it to everybody, however, this app, especially lately has far too many ads. Seemingly every single time I click to a new page. I clicked to a new Picrew. I searched something. Any time I do anything except for when I am making the actual character there is an ad no matter what. Not to mention 90% of the ads are not very good. They are garbage brain rot game ads. Or they are for websites like Temu and Shein and we all know how bad Temu and Shein is. I understand that they need to have ads on the platform to be able to make money to keep running it however, the sheer amount of ads that they have on their platform makes it seem like a giant money scheme to just make as much money as humanly possible. they also constantly push the oh you can just pay to get rid of ads. Well not everyone has the financial ability to buy to get rid of ads nor would people want to. The sheer amount of ads is probably driving people away from the platform and looking for other characters creators somewhere else, as I know, I have done so myself. I will look online for a character creator before I ever even go to Picrew anymore to simply avoid the annoying and frustrating time It is that every single time I click on something I have to leave the app to respond to a message to text someone I do anything except for actually make an OC an ad play that isn’t even an enjoyable at experience. I am sure that if you download this app, you will have the greatest time but I can’t give it more than one stars simply because I am constantly frustrated while just trying to quickly make a character so I can get back to writing something or I’m quickly making a character because my players in my DND campaign suddenly decide that this NPC is gonna be their best friend. ### 4/5 — Trop de pub *2026-08-06* J’utilisais picrew quand ce n’était qu’un site internet et je suis très contente qu’il y ai une appli maintenant mais il y a BEAUCOUP trop de pub…maintenant ça ressemble juste à 90% des appli ou le moindre clique nous balance une pub.
