## What is Picture My Task?

Picture My Task is a visual schedule designed to manage student activities in a structured learning environment.  In the schedule, a student activity or task is illustrated through a picture or icon.  These icons are arranged by the instructor into one or more schedules.

The student works on a prepared schedule moving from task to task until the schedule is complete.  This allows the student to understand the day’s expectations and work independently.  The student is able to gain a sense of accomplishment and success as they remove completed tasks from the schedule.

In addition to a single task the application supports first/then, and break time tasks.  Using first/then can be used to motivate a student to work on a less desirable task.  While using break time gives the student a choice between one of three tasks.

Each task icon is defined by a built-in picture and, optionally, two short lines of text.  The application comes with a set of tasks already defined.  Additional task icons may be created using the built-in editor.

### 1.07 — 2024-04-10

Fixed the issue where a completed schedule would require stopping after completion.  Now, when returning from a completed schedule, the schedule is in the closed state.  This removes the extra step of pressing stop after competing a schedule.

Fixed the constant pin overlay prompt when editing a running task in test mode.
Changed the size of the photo selection overlay when importing images.
Fixed an issue that allowed access to supervisor mode from student mode even when the supervisor pin was enabled.

### 1.06 — 2022-05-02

Separated Manager Mode and Student Mode moving the access to tools, options and editing schedules into a separate screen.  The student sees a list of schedules and the task list of the currently selected schedule and a Start button to start a schedule or Continue and Stop buttons to continue or stop a running schedule.

Multiple schedules can be in progress at the same time.  Allowing for, in progress, daily, weekly and monthly schedules or schedules for multiple students.

Expanded on the editing of currently running tasks and fixed a few bugs related to this feature.
Changed the help screen to a tabbed list of help topics.
Adjusted input to allow for using a stylus.
Fixed numerous interface bugs.

### 1.04 — 2018-11-10

Fixed export bug when sharing audio.  Fixed typo in Quiet File icon.  Other minor bug fixes.

### 1.03 — 2017-08-15

Added saving and restoring student progress when application is restored or restarted.
Added sharing schedule data for supervisors, controlled through general settings.
Added supervisor user interface controls in general settings.
Fixed blank icon background issue when importing an image.
This version includes builds for both 32 and 64 bit machines.

### 1.02 — 2015-02-05

Added importing and editing images from the photo library to be used as backgrounds for task icons.  Changed the font system to allow selecting from three predefined fonts.  Minor bug fixes.
