### 5/5 — The perfect app for visual learners!!

*2025-03-18, version 1.1.2*

This app is perfect for visual learners or those with dyslexia/ADHD. Being able to remove labels from images is brilliant for active recall and the audio feature really adds to this. This is a unique and fun app that is perfect for medics that struggle to learn in the conventional ways that the education system supports. I would definitely recommend!!

### 5/5 — Amazing !!

*2025-03-08, version 1.1.2*

I love the app. It is easy to digest and communicates the salient points in a fun and colourful manner. The content is comprehensive and targeted to all levels, covering anatomy, trauma, differential diagnosis and much more with additional exam questions to solidify knowledge. The app ticks all the boxes with transcripts of content and even audio to suit different learning styles. Truly worth it!

### 5/5 — Great medical app

*2025-03-07*

I really like the pictures and detailed descriptions. This app is very useful for medical knowledge and helps me keep my knowledge up to date.

### 5/5 — A really useful resource

*2025-03-06, version 1.1.2*

This app is an incredibly informative tool, great for learning and testing yourself. There are different features that you can use to your own learning preferences. Amazing! Thank you for such an informative resource, easily accessible as it’s downloaded straight to your phone via an app. Very easy to use!

### 5/5 — Brilliant memory tool

*2025-03-05, version 1.1.2*

If you have difficulty memorising disease and medical treatment lists and diagnostic key points, this is the App for you. Harnessing visual-based and image-based memory is the key used to create “memory geniuses” of ordinary folks. The diagrams and self-test functionality in Picturing Medicine lays open this amazing system to help medical and nursing students and professionals: a game changer!

### 5/5 — GREAT APP

*2025-03-05*

These interactive slides are extremely well done. They are detailed, descriptive and the graphics are oriented in such a way as to give thorough 3-D views. The touch to text feature makes it even easier to both learn and review. As an instructor of post-graduate medical seminars, I have found this app EXTREMELY useful. (I only wish I’d had access to it DURING my schooling also!) This app is a perfect learning (and teaching) tool for healthcare providers or anyone fascinated with the human body. It easily deserves a hearty five stars.

### 5/5 — Fun and engaging way to practice active recall!

*2025-03-05, version 1.1.2*

Amazing recourse for active recall! I love the test yourself function and it covers just the right amount of detail needed for medical school exams. The posters are great for visual learners, but also auditory learners as the information can be read out loud to you. Each poster also provides the links to the recourses which were used to make the poster, so if you want to you can look into each topic further by accessing the links provided. This app is a fun addition to my revision techniques.

### 5/5 — An invaluable app for quick and effective medical revision!

*2025-03-05, version 1.1.2*

I’ve really enjoyed using this app over the past few weeks. It provides well-researched, in-depth explanations while remaining quick and easy to use—perfect for reviewing medical information at any given moment, like on my way to placement.

The images are excellent at presenting the bigger picture, making it easier to retain key information rather than relying solely on text. One of the app’s standout features is the “Memorise Visually- hide labels” toggle function, which enhances active recall by allowing you to first study the image and then efficiently test yourself moments later. I also appreciate how the information is well-organised into anatomical, clinical, and practical knowledge sections, with concise summaries below the visuals.

The auditory function is another great addition, improving accessibility for all users. Even for the average medical student, it provides a valuable way to reinforce learning through sound, as engaging multiple senses can improve retention. I’ve used it many times, especially when I don’t feel like reading, but I’m still able to keep learning just by listening with my headphones.

For improvements, I think some of the images could be enhanced for better visual clarity and appeal as this would allow for less distraction and better learning. This could be done in two ways:
1.Using a more vibrant colour palette to improve contrast and distinction between structures in complex images—for example, in cranial nerves, differentiating the frontal lobe, temporal lobe, and cerebellum more clearly (although I appreciate this isn’t the focus of the picture).
2.Increasing the resolution of finer details in certain images. For instance, in the airway management section, the head anatomy could be sharper and more detailed for better clarity (although again, I appreciate this isn’t the focus of the picture).

Overall, this app makes learning more efficient, engaging, and accessible. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Amazing new app

*2025-03-05, version 1.1.2*

I’ve found this app really useful for quickly recapping anatomy and pathology profiles when on placement. The illustrations are brilliant and include enough detail without it being overwhelming. Looking forward to seeing some of the newly added content! Thank you

### 5/5 — ⭐️ Essential Visual Learning Tool for Medical Students ⭐️

*2025-03-05, version 1.1.2*

As a visual learner, Picturing Medicine is one of the most effective study resources I’ve used. It doesn’t just cover anatomy - it also presents differential diagnoses, signs and symptoms, acute management plans, and syndromes, all in a clear and visually structured way. Seeing all the relevant information in a single, well-designed and memorable illustration makes understanding and retaining concepts much easier.

The ability to read further by tapping on diagram labels allows for an impressive depth of detail, making each image far more informative and interactive than traditional resources. All content is relevant to the UKMLA, and the inclusion of UKMLA-style questions further enhances its value for exam prep.

The “hide labels” feature is great for testing recall, and with evidence-based references included for those who like to dig even deeper, this app is a must-have for medical students!
