WHAT PIEL DOES • A verdict for your skin — Search a product and Piel returns a Halo: good match, patch test first, or steer clear. Personalized to the skin profile you build, not a generic star rating. • One routine, checked as a whole — Products that are fine on their own can clash together. Piel orders your steps, flags timing conflicts (like retinol stacked with an exfoliating acid on the same night), and gives your whole routine its own Halo. • Your shelf — Keep track of what you own, what's on your wishlist, and what you've finished. Every verdict stays current as your skin profile changes. • Sunscreen, on a timer — Log the SPF you put on and Piel counts down to your next reapplication, setting the interval from today's UV index where you are. Reminders stop when the sun goes down. • A skin log worth keeping — Check in with one tap a day. Note what you noticed, where it showed up, and how strong it felt, then look back over the calm stretches and the rough ones. • Progress photos, kept private (Piel Premium) — Take a guided photo of your skin and compare it week to week, lined up with the last shot. Photos stay on this phone; cloud backup is optional and off until you turn it on, and you can lock the photo area behind Face ID. • Can't find a product? Cloud backup was uploading nothing, restoring could duplicate shots, and reinstalling Piel lost the controls that switch backup off. All three are fixed — and Privacy & data now says plainly what backup keeps and what turning it off deletes. (Progress photos are part of Piel Premium.) A DEEPER READ ON INGREDIENTS Piel's ingredient knowledge grew a lot this release, so more Halo verdicts come with a real reason instead of a shrug — including retinoid cautions if you're pregnant or nursing. FIXED AND SHARPENED • Adding a product by hand: the ingredient fields now take what you type. • Toggles and segmented pickers are the native iOS ones, so they feel the way they should. • VoiceOver no longer reads your Halo score twice. • Saving your name confirms it, and Sign out no longer sits where Save belongs. • Your shelf stops reporting a failure for an update that actually worked. • The "Your skin" screen no longer shows two headings.
