It causes tenants to miss important notifications that were never received via post allowing pier to charge extortionate fees for missed payments . That’s how they make their money ! ### 1/5 — Terrible all round *2024-12-04, version 3.2.6* Doesn’t accept use of password manager which is a core part of modern apps. Doesn’t allow copy pasting into password and username field. Deleted straight away before even being able to log in. Terrible user experience and clearly never been tested by anyone. Been sent a link and it keeps pointing me towards the app instead of doing it on a website. I’ve tried using over the course of a couple of years and still more often than not when trying to login the login screen gets stuck and won’t let you in. Details are correct as work online. I wouldn’t usually mind I’d just use the browser login option instead but most annoying of all when you click “tenant portal” on the web browser on a phone it takes you to the app / App Store with no other option to continue to browser version - funnelling you straight to something that doesn’t work and is completely non effective. Looks like I’ll have to get the laptop out… ### 1/5 — App data problem *2024-09-25, version 3.2.6* Completely useless App! Changed password numerous times but still won’t open. ### 1/5 — Still rubbish *2024-08-16, version 3.2.6* Another update and still does not have the ability to utilise Apples own password manager or the numerous 3rd party password apps. I’ve given up on this now and just pay directly through my bank once I get the paper invoice through. Can’t seem to use a password manager to log in, or paste credentials in. Payments come back as ‘paid’ immediately although nothing actually happens in the background. When I chose legacy payment mode, it doesn’t accept my details. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2024-01-03, version 3.1.2* Just an awful app. Always crashes, some elements just make the app crash, tap on the fingerprint icon and the app crashes… and not able to copy and paste into text boxes it’s like they are oblivious of password managers… please add this, its just basic. This app is in the stone-ages. Feels like it’s designed by a wooden spoon. Just horrendous. Please fix. What was wrong with the option to pay via your website? Update - One year later and the added ‘functionality’ just leads to more crashes and the anxiety or whether a payment has gone through or you need to try again (at the detriment of possibly paying more than once). ### 1/5 — Just awful *2023-10-28, version 3.1.1* Thankfully their website works as their app is terrible. I set a long-ish secure password when registering, because security is a good idea. The app wouldn’t let me paste my password in to the field, and autofill with apple password app doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — 1 star is not low enough. *2023-09-25, version 3.1.1* Echoing the other reviews, what used to be a service provided via a functioning website where you could review outstanding balances and make payments is not a waste of time of an app which no longer lets you log in repeatedly crashes. The most basic feature of an app, logging in, doesn’t even work. Then when you try to reset your password you get a 404. Literally dread opening it every time I need to use it. Password managers do not work with this app. It is slow. Hard to use. Unable to continue writing in a long complex password after moving apps. Nice easy way to manage your account and pay bills. ### 4/5 — Better than the old one *2022-10-10, version 1.1.1* I had the old version which had lots of issues. The new version works well and is now my main method of payment. Much better than phoning or logging onto the website. ### 2/5 — Needs a lot of work *2025-09-16, version 3.3.0* The app itself is a cheap out the box app with nothing set up correctly except how to pay (got that right shocker). Even the login the login screen can’t auto populate the password and the Face ID login set up for after you login with a password. Forgotten password error 404 randomly and the pages freeze mid translation. ### 2/5 — Needs finishing *2024-03-03, version 3.1.3* I recieved my annual bill from Pier so went to website and was offered the app. Downloaded quickly, which may be because half the code must be missing! Registration easy, although it took no account of previous password for the portal and I’m not sure there are checks made against tenant email addresses and phone numbers held by Pier. if this is the case this is a security hole. Tried to make a payment and this also seemed to fail although i got the message saying the payment was successful after the third attempt. An inspection of my back account says otherwise.
