### 1/5 — Faulty App

*2022-05-02*

I was so disappointed with the Pigworks App. My son and I flew into Cincinnati so he could run the flying pig marathon. The app never tracked him even though he ran the race and had an official finish time on the Flying Pig marathon site. It was very frustrating because I had no idea where he was or how he was doing. Even when I go on the App now, it says he didn’t finish. My son runs 2 - 3 marathons a year and this has never happened with any other tracking app. What a letdown!!

### 1/5 — Horrible This Year

*2022-05-01*

Server overwhelmed but finally got connected and was able to track my runner (if you could call this tracking.) We setup on the course and “watched” runner approaching but never saw them pass. App said runner had long passed us so we went home only to have the runner FaceTime us on the course wondering where we were. The app showed he had already finished the course. Terribly disappointed in the app AMD missed opportunity to support our friend.

### 2/5 — Lots of info - I wish it was was easier to find what I was looking for!

*2021-05-16*

I am sure that app is full of great stuff. I had a very difficult working within the app- eg how to switch from Full to Half . I am sure there is an easy solution somewhere .

### 1/5 — Not much to it

*2019-10-14, version 3.0.2*

I think this app was just ok. However, no cheers made it not fun for my supporters. Also, not very user-friendly. The Start Race button kept reappearing the whole time I was running the race, making me think it was not tracking me.
Race Joy is a much better app.

### 1/5 — Fails at primary purpose

*2019-05-05*

I’ve never written a review before but this felt necessary. My family was planning to meet me as I finished but the app was over an hour off of my projected finish time. Several different phones had the same unreliable result. I thought the purpose was to help people trying to follow a racer and my family was disappointed they didn’t get to see me at all throughout the race. I spoke with other racers and their families after the race and they had the same issue.

### 1/5 — Way off on tracking

*2019-05-05*

This app was so far off on the live tracking. It went from telling me the person I was tracking had four miles left to all of a sudden she was finished and we missed cheering at the finish line because of this. Last year the tracker was exactly correct on time. This year couldn’t have been more incorrect

### 1/5 — Way off! Missed estimated finish by 1 hour!

*2019-05-05, version 2.0.1*

Missed cheering wife/mom along the rout as the “tracking” mark was an hour behind where she actually was. So disappointed in this piece of crap and expected more from Flying Pig!

### 1/5 — Kids missed their mom

*2019-05-05, version 2.0.1*

App said my wife had 15 mins left and my phone rang... she had already crossed the finish swine!

### 1/5 — Flying Pig

*2019-05-04, version 2.0.1*

Crashes. Lookup does not find anyone

### 1/5 — This app is a joke

*2019-05-04, version 2.0.1*

An hour into the race and it says my wife still has not started. Great way to give false advice...

### 2/5 — Far Below Expectations

*2019-05-04*

App is repeatedly asking for reviews two days before marathon.
1. The app did not go “active” until 9 days before the race. The countdown space holder on the app has room for 999 days. A little misleading from when we were asked to download app months ago. Set realistic expectations or communicate changes!
2. The procedure to set up live tracking is not confidence building. No way to test a connection before start of of race.
It’s a wait and see for the rest of the skills on the app. So, there’s your review Flying Pig. Now, can I open app without the ful screen request to rate it??

### 1/5 — Privacy setting

*2019-04-27, version 2.0.1*

Privacy setting is not working properly. Once I set to hidden then no one was able to find me that is correct but if I changed back to normal then again it work as hidden only.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Does Not Work

*2026-05-03*

Tracking is very inaccurate. This app just exists to steal and sell your data. Many parts of the app either route to their website or just tell you to check their website instead. Also pushes you to use Waze for up to date info on street closures but Waze was hit or miss for that.

### 1/5 — Did not work during event

*2026-05-02*

Spoke to a person next to me as well to confirm it wasn’t just me. The app was not accurate and I couldn’t track my wife and it had her running at a 5 min/mile pace and it said she was finished and she wasn’t even halfway through the race. You’d think they’d get this figured out since they do it every year.

### 1/5 — Just made up the race

*2026-05-02, version 7.0.4*

Tried following my wife and showed her running 5.5 minute miles. Come to find out, it just set its own pace. Race didn’t even follow the path she followed.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-12-31, version 6.0.4*

I had heard there was a marathon in Cincinnati, and this app would tell me what I need to know about the alleged marathon. But I guess I got some bad info. This app is totally useless.

### 1/5 — Not working on race day

*2025-05-04*

The app is slow, not loading participants when you search for them, and when I try to click follow an athlete nothing happens. App is crashing on race day it appears. The only reason to have the app is for race day, so big fail and big waste of time. Wish I could see how my friends are doing.

### 1/5 — False advertising

*2024-05-05*

It clearly says “Track Participant Live”, but it’s not live at all. It just records when you crossed the starting line and then estimates where they would be based on an average running pace. I was watching the live tracking to support my runner, and it showed they were almost to where we were standing. We kept watching for them, and nothing. Checked the app again, and it showed they were already past us. I knew we hadn’t seen them, so I pulled up the track my iPhone app, and they were still two miles back from where the supposed live tracker said they were.

### 1/5 — Live tracking doesn’t work

*2023-05-07, version 5.0.2*

Runner does not show up on the map

### 1/5 — Needs significant work

*2023-05-06, version 5.0.2*

Couldn’t find race results, search by bib number button isn’t working. Also can’t scroll past 1st page of results when just browsing.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-10-08, version 4.0.3*

It won’t even let me download it. On my brand new iPhone. So I don’t need to update my iOS.

### 1/5 — Incorrect timing

*2022-05-03*

This app told my family and friends that I was coming at a pace faster than I was, and when I was more than 10 minutes behind the app’s schedule, it frightened them thinking something medically had gone wrong. Meanwhile, the app on my phone did nothing but drain my battery and interfere with my Bluetooth when listening to music. Fix the app for next year.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Participant tracking accurate

*2019-05-06*

Participant time tracking was amazingly on time every time. Saw my runners at six locations and app told when they were going to be there right when they arrived. Weekend info and other information was nice to have at fingertips also for the weekend

### 5/5 — Good app

*2019-05-05*

Much better than indy yesterday. Constantly current. And I didn’t get to a cheering point too late

### 4/5 — It could have been better

*2019-05-15*

There were parts, non-tracking related that were really really good. But the tracking for both the 5K and the half marathon were so far off that it was pointless to even have it.

### 4/5 — Pig app

*2019-05-05, version 2.0.1*

So I’d easy to use . As a runners mom and previous half participant
I’m loving the actual live tracking. It updates quickly

### 4/5 — 2nd year

*2019-05-04, version 2.0.1*

Be a five if the tracking was a little more accurate!!

### 4/5 — Loved it, but...

*2018-05-11*

I didn’t use it during the race (I was running so had the tracker function on though), have been told people had trouble with tracking updating, from other reviews sounds like the app was overwhelmed. I had WiFi off, so that may have been part of the issue (it did tell me it might not work as well without WiFi enabled). Really liked the photo booth function!

### 3/5 — Kept crashing

*2024-05-05*

This app has lots of whistles and bells, but the main reason I was using it was to track family and friends as they ran the course. App worked great for the first hour, then apparently couldn’t handle the traffic and began to crash after only a minute. Had to keep reopening it over and over. Finally gave up.

### 3/5 — Cool idea but needs work

*2018-05-07, version 1.0.0*

App wasn’t accurate!

### 2/5 — Just doesn’t work

*2024-05-05*

The most important part of the app is live tracking of the runners. It does not offer accurate live tracking during the recent races and shows half marathoners running full marathons with arbitrary mile times applied to everyone. Embarrassing and useless.

### 2/5 — Too Many Glitches

*2021-10-31*

Great idea but execution is spotty. Did not track one runner I was following until almost 40 minutes into race. Also sends too many useless alerts.
