It thinks it’s 11 am when it is 11 pm. This only began with 6.1 release THIS HAS NOW BEEN RESOLVED. I will not keep paying and so I suppose will just have to put up with the constant screen blocking ads. I purchased Pill Alert Pro because, as a cancer patient with diabetes, medication tracking is an important issue. A life or death issue. I liked the fact that Pill Alert offered an Apple Watch app for extra convenience and safety. Unfortunately the developer failed the basic competency of keeping watch’s data in sync with the phone and vice versa. After attempting to contact the developer about this issue I got no response. Funny thing, how my subscription money found its way to the developer but my request for support landed in a black hole? After upgrading to iOS 16 and two days with the Medications function of the Health app, I’m done with this so-called product. Medications does 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 Pill Alert promised and more — for no more than the price I’ve already paid for the device. In about June of 2020 all of my data was lost. I am, unfortunately, on a lot of medication. Keeping a record is important to monitor some that are taken as needed. I used the app on schedule, last night. When I went in to enter this morning’s medication I notice all of my data has been lost back to Nov 2020. My back-up, I admit to not initially using Apple iCloud nor DropBox for manual backup. Unfortunately, my DropBox n]backup failed. It is my experience that, although it is actually just what I wanted, I cannot trust it with this unrecoverable data loss. I will try another app now. Clearly, be certain to regularly check your backups. I’m really bummed about this. I intended to show my doctor my hard earned progress. I deleted the app, then reinstalled it and restored my data.. And it still does the same thing. Saw that there was an update on the App Store and updated—and now I have a completely blank app. No list of medications, no notes on those medications, no schedules, no logs. No backups will load. It’s all gone. I’d been using it daily since 2019. The app had been freezing with increased frequency, especially since they increased the frequency and complexity of ads. I feel like I should have known not to trust an app with typos in its content. Do not recommend. Do not use if you need to rely on the data and logs. ### 1/5 — Emailed support after losing data. *2021-10-13* After I upgraded to iOS 15, I lost ALL data. I emailed support last week with no answer. I even accidentally paid a SECOND time thinking this would sync up with my Apple ID and repopulate my data. No luck. It, on the surface, does what it says on the tin. However, the support team do not respond to numerous pleas for assistance regarding an annoying ‘feature’ whereby the number of pills to take at a time seems to correspond with the number left to take. This effectively means that the reminders to ‘refill’ are totally inaccurate, as are the ones to take - which, if taken as shown in the App, would mean the patient is DEAD! If one ignores this potentially FATAL fault, and realised that fact at all times, the App is very cleverly laid out and designed. I paid for it and, ignoring the coding fault outlined above, it is very good at what it does correctly. I would never remember to take all my meds without it. And it keeps track of how many pills you have left, alerts you when you’re getting low, gives you a log of what you took and when. It can handle weird schedules easily; like this medication I take once every two weeks. You can also use it for family members. The app is stable and never crashes. I highly recommend this app!! It is way better than Apple’s new one.
