## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-08-14*

Do not download, waste of time

**Developer response:** Sorry this wasn't useful to you. We'd like to fix whatever went wrong, but there isn't much here for us to work from.

If you're open to it, email support@aipillid.com and tell us what happened. If a scan came back wrong, the imprint code or a photo of the pill lets us check that case directly and improve the model. If it was pricing, a bug, or something else entirely, we want to hear that too.

### 1/5 — Dangerous - do not use

*2026-08-09*

Scanned about 6-10 pills. It was wrong on EVERY single one. Found accurate info online from stamps and pill shape so zero reason for it to be that bad. Do not trust this. Wasn’t even close. Shame.

**Developer response:** Hi, and thank you for writing this. I'm genuinely sorry about your experience, and we take accuracy in medication identification very seriously.

I'd really like to understand what went wrong. If you're open to it, please email us at support@aipillid.com with the imprint codes or photos of the pills you scanned. That detail lets us pinpoint the problem and improve the model directly, and we review every report like this personally.

We're actively working to make identification more accurate and to be clearer about how confident each result is. Feedback like yours is exactly what helps us get there. Thank you for flagging it.

### 1/5 — Misread of pills

*2026-07-25*

It totally said my pill was something I don’t even have. Not liking it.

**Developer response:** Hi, and thank you for letting us know. I'm sorry the result was off for you, and we take accuracy in medication identification very seriously.

I'd really like to look into what happened. If you're open to it, please email us at support@aipillid.com with the imprint code or a photo of the pill you scanned. That detail helps us find the problem and improve the model directly, and we review every report personally.

We're actively working to make identification more accurate, and feedback like yours is exactly what helps us get there. Thank you for taking the time to share it.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate!

*2026-06-04*

Not even close

**Developer response:** Thank you for reporting this, and we’re sorry for the incorrect identification. Our pill recognition system is continuously improving to better identify medications from photos, especially when pills have very similar appearances. For the best results, please also scan the pill imprint code and verify with the original packaging or a licensed pharmacist before taking any medication. If possible, please contact us through the app with the pill photo and imprint details so we can investigate and improve future accuracy.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate

Scanned a pill and said it was tadalafil. Pill was mirtazapine!

### 1/5 — Completely inaccurate

*2026-05-14*

I tested this app on a new prescription after learning that the pharmacy I used is under fire for dispensing incorrect medications. The app identified it as an anti-psychotic, leaving me momentarily panicked. I decided to try using a regular AI engine, which immediately identified it as the correct prescription.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback, and we’re sorry for the concern this caused. Pill identification from images can sometimes vary depending on photo quality, lighting, angle, and visible imprint details. Our system is continuously improving, and we always recommend verifying results using the pill imprint code, original packaging, or a licensed pharmacist before taking any medication.

If possible, please contact us through the app with the pill photo and imprint details so we can review the case and improve future accuracy.

### 1/5 — Got it totally wrong

*2026-05-03*

Didn’t manage to identify my prescription medication at all

**Developer response:** Hi Molly,

Sorry about this. You can send the medication details from within the app, or to info.stilak@gmail.com. I'll check what went wrong so we can fix it.

### 1/5 — Misleading at best

*2026-03-15*

Same pill was identified completely differently three times. All three were wrong. Untrustworthy for sure.

**Developer response:** We're sorry about your experience consistency is something we take very seriously. In version 1.0.3, we've upgraded our AI model and completely reworked the identification pipeline to deliver more accurate and consistent results. The issue you experienced with different results for the same pill has been directly addressed. We'd really appreciate it if you could try again with the latest update. If you still see any issues, please email us at info.stilak@gmail.com and we'll personally look into it.

### 2/5 — Inaccurate but great UI

*2026-03-22*

App is easy to use, but inaccurate. I checked results against other apps and it inaccurately identified 2/3 pills. It could not identify several others. However, it was the best UI of any app I looked at. With some work from devs, I think this could be a great app.
Be aware, it gives you only one free look up, then you must subscribe. You can get a free 3 day trial however.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the kind words about our UI, We really appreciate that! We hear you on accuracy, and we've made significant improvements in version 1.0.3. We upgraded to a faster, more advanced AI model and refined our identification engine for better results. We'd love for you to give it another try and let us know how it goes. If you ever run into issues, reach out to us at info.stilak@gmail.com we're always happy to help.

### 5/5 — Great advice! Thanks

Are Dilated stronger than Morphine? Which works better for pain medication controlled pain relief in your opinion? And what do they generally put in permanent pain pumps for severe pain relief for making someone comfortable?

**Developer response:** Thank you for using Pill Identifier and for reaching out! We're so glad it's been helpful.

Our app can identify medications and check whether they interact with each other, plus keep you on schedule with reminders. What it doesn't do is judge which medication is stronger or works better for pain that's a decision for your doctor or pharmacist, since it depends on your individual history.

For pain relief options or pump medications, your physician, a pain specialist, or pharmacist is the best resource. Wishing you comfort and relief.

Asked ChatGPT first and was a little surprised when the answer came back as don’t know what that pill is. So I took the opportunity to find out an answer that ChatGPT couldn’t find. This was where I found the answer 👍🏽
