### 3/5 — Mostly convenient and easy to use, except when company forces paid upgrade.

*2026-03-26, version 9.0.1*

A generally useful app., which could be further improved, if all the pills for that part of the day could be selected as taken all at once, instead of one at a time. I take 9 pills and I have to approve as taken one at a time.

It is superior to Kaiser’s own KP Med pill application, which can’t select “pill taken” before its due time. A waste of time as I have wait and often forget. Bad design.

Sending feedback to SUPPORT is not easy. The app. feedback lacks a SEND button, or I can’t find it. I have to repost with a separate mail application. Fix this. Otherwise, a decent app.

### 4/5 — Useful but edits to time taken not recorded

*2026-03-13, version 9.0.1*

I love this app to keep track of my 8 Rx eye drops per day. However, if time taken is corrected by editing, it doesn’t change the “time last taken” on reminder page. Shouldn’t the correct “time taken”replace the incorrect time?

### 3/5 — App crashes

*2026-02-11, version 9.0*

Ever since the last update the app crashes when I try to set up a new reminder. Have been a paid customer for many years, and this app is a lifesaver for me. I rely on it but need it to work right.

### 3/5 — Basic, functional app

*2025-10-19, version 8.1.1*

No bells and whistles, but it does the job of allowing me to track my medications. The interface could be more intuitive. I do wish the medications would list alphabetically by default, but you have to edit the order yourself. It would also be great if you could customize the colors or make it a bit nicer to look at. Would also love a “quick add” button to quickly log a medication right when you open the app instead of it defaulting to “reminders.” Overall, it’s usable.

### 4/5 — Really useful little app

*2025-04-07, version 8.1*

Really useful. I’m on long term medication so this app is incredibly useful with the daily reminder and the ability to amend the time I enter for taking each tablet.

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2025-03-26, version 8.1*

I always had trouble remembering to take medications or when I took it last to know if it had been long enough to take the medication again. This app was exactly what I was looking for. Easy to use too.

### 5/5 — Useful app

### 5/5 — Great app!

Have used this app for almost 10 years and it’s been so helpful. Thanks!!

### 4/5 — Helpful after eye surgery

*2024-01-16, version 8.0*

This app is great for coordinating medications that have different schedules. After eye surgery, pain killers are 3/day, two drops are 4/day, and one drop is 2/day, with some tapering to less doses a day over time. When eyes are operated on two weeks apart, this gets really confusing! With this app I can create left eye and right eye reminders with pictures of the bottles. It’s really helpful. A few improvements I would like to suggest:
- on the schedule screen, add “next” time along with “last taken” to get an idea of the schedule coming up. If I have to plan ahead for an outing and bring my meds, I have to go to each individual med and then click twice to get to the next scheduled time. After my second eye that’s 14 clicks!
- some medications should be taken no earlier than 6 hours after the last dose, rather than on a time schedule. It would be nice to be able to put that in the schedule.
- it would be nice to be able to copy and paste a drug (left eye drops are the same as right eye drops but with a different schedule, and copying common drugs from one profile to another would save time).

### 5/5 — Pill Monitor

*2024-01-04, version 8.0*

I have used this app for over 2 years and had problems with the earlier versions but not this one. User friendly and I'm able to check my meds every day. And the alert does work. Love the fact that you can select taken all with one swipe rather than having to select each med! Nice improvement!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2025-03-25, version 8.1*

I’ll not renew. I used to love that if you had several things to skip, click edit, tap each on the side dot then skip at the bottom center. The mass click and skip no longer works.
Please fix!!! I messaged it no longer works, but no fix. Disappointed

### 1/5 — Reminders not going off on time set

*2023-08-30, version 7.1*

When the app was free it worked much better

### 1/5 — No longer usable unless you pay for a subscription

*2022-08-21, version 7.0*

I’ve been using this app for years to monitor all my meds, but now I can’t do anything on it unless I sign up for a subscription and pay a fee. I understand needing to fund the app and would have been happy to pay a reasonable one time price to “unlock or upgrade to the full version” but I refuse to pay monthly or yearly to use something I use to get for free. Guess it’s time to find a new app.

### 1/5 — All wants money

*2022-08-18, version 7.0*

All of a sudden I can’t mark pills taken keeps sending me to a subscribe page, have been using it free for a long time what happened

### 1/5 — Paid for Pro but they want me to pay again

*2022-07-26, version 7.0*

Previously I used the free version of the app, was happy enough with it to want to pay for the upgrade to the Pro version (exactly the same as the free version from my experience) now I keep getting pop ups wanting more money through subscription. The app isn’t good enough to justify the price the want to charge and I certainly won’t be downloading the app again if it stops working. That’s the app now stopped working, can’t progress without paying a ridiculous subscription price for an app that fails to actually do anything I wanted other than save me having to go through my bags of pills to check how much I have.

### 1/5 — Driven by greed - intend to delete

*2022-07-12, version 7.0*

Have used for many years - simple app, no real changes over the years and now repeatedly asking for subscription - NO justification and simply NOT worth it. If it stops working I will delete

### 1/5 — Sort the Alerts!

*2022-07-03, version 7.0*

Sorry I have given one star but this is the only to get anyone to take any notice these days. If this issue is sorted all remove the rating and add 5 stars.

So this app is vital for health. But when an alert sounds even if it’s on “high pitch” it does two small quiet noises and that’s it. It doesn’t keep alerting until is is responded to - which in my opinion it should. Also I don’t think you’re fully engaged the new APOs from Apple around Focus and Time Sensitive Alavert’s. If I was in a work meeting but had to take important time sensitive heart medication or antibiotics or HIV medication, even if I had silenced calls and WhatsApp’s and instagram messages from my buddies I would WANT the alert to be loud and clear so I could excuse myself and do what I need to do to protect my life. Same at night. I don’t want to be woken by friends drunk-calls at 3am. But. I do need to be woken to take certain medication otherwise I wake up on pain and unable to work. The rest of the app os amazing. Only other suggestion would be an “audit” tool for the numbers of medications left. You can amend them via “fill up” but it may not be that they have been used. They maybe have loat or forgotten about and thrown away. And so it’s not as simple as just adding a defill to the existing number - ok mostly it is - but someone’s one needs to do a full count of everything that have at a set time and date as as not to affect reminders and re-input these numbers so it’s is precise moving forward.

### 1/5 — Not happy

*2022-06-13, version 7.0*

Absolute waste of money

### 1/5 — Pill Monitor

*2022-06-07, version 7.0*

Not happy having to pay again for something I have already paid for. Happy to see Apple will be doing one in IOS 16. Will cancel this one.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

Great app recently updated works really well

### 5/5 — Easy peasy

*2026-03-31, version 9.0.1*

Not too hard to get your head around. Using it soon becomes second nature. Handy features. No problems. Used the free app for a while, but glad I upgraded at little cost. ✅ Updates have been helpful. One suggestion, when choosing a drug to add to history, it would be good to be able to drag the drugs most frequently used to the top of the list. At the moment I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list to pick the one’s I’ve most recently added. Perhaps also, have the most recently added drugs appear at the top of the list, or be able to choose alphabetical order.

### 5/5 — Pill Monitor

*2026-03-12, version 9.0.1*

Very efficient reminder and tracker.

### 5/5 — Excellent customer support

*2026-02-14, version 9.0.1*

I have been using Pill Monitor for years and have found it intuitive and easy to use. So much so that I upgraded to the Pro version. This has been especially useful now that I am older and have to take multiple medications with complex schedules. But recently the reminders stopped allowing me to change the dates. I contacted customer support and they responded back within a short time asking me to send them a crash log, which they described how to accomplish. Lo and behold a minor bug fix was showing up on the store app history and my reminders are working again! I am so grateful that they quickly responded and fixed the problem. Very happy with this product and service.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2026-02-10, version 9.0*

It does exactly what I need.

### 5/5 — Works great for my needs!!

*2026-01-05, version 8.1.1*

If you are like me and take a pill and then can't remember 5 minutes later because life is going by too fast then this is the app for you! I really don't use the scheduled pill feature but it works if you need to be reminded. I also like the feature of seeing a picture of the pill. The app has the ability to modify the dosage and how you take the medicine.

### 5/5 — Better than other apps I've tried, and no privacy issues

*2025-08-14, version 8.1.1*

I wish that reminders didn't reset when you changed them, and that you could fill them in advance.

### 5/5 — Everything you need to manage medications

*2025-07-19, version 8.1.1*

Had this app for years. Always found it to be simple and reliable. Recent update (July 2020) made it even easier to use. Just great great if you’re looking for a slick, sensible app for the important business of managing medications.

Jan 2022 - still using it. Works great for me!

July 2025 - haven’t found anything better. I tried a couple - just for the novelty. … All over complicated , and frankly just a distraction.
This app never glitches, and backs up easily.
Thanks to the developers for not destroying its simple functionality with unnecessary bells and whistles.
