I have requested help from the developer using the email provided three times. I have never had a response. The last update was seven years ago. There is no privacy policy. I am switching apps. ### 4/5 — Please Fix Time Zones *2025-01-12, version 2.8.2* Great app but when traveling it doesn’t seem to know that you are in a new time zone for several days and instead reminds you two or three hours early or late depending on the direction of travel. ### 2/5 — So great! Lot of apps on the App store don’t use that feature. Because a lot of times I just don’t care about the time and I forgot to take medication over the time, but Pillboxie keeps on reminding me every minute until I take it. If the development team continued to develop it, this app would be in top 10 medication reminders for sure. ### 4/5 — Add these features! *2023-03-17, version 2.8.2* There needs to be some sort of way to do PRN (as needed meds). Also, there is no way to insert transdermal and suppository medications. Please add these! Until you do I can't use this app! I was looking for a way to organize my meds, looks like I will have to keep looking! ### 2/5 — Repeat alarm setup needs work *2022-12-28, version 2.8.2* I really need something in between "alarm that goes off once a minute (even though I can snooze)" and "no repeat alarm at all." Since my medication is to treat anxiety there was no middle ground between screaming at the once per minute feature and just flat out forgetting when I turned it off. If you're wondering, "how can that stress someone out so much," I bet you've never needed anxiety medication! Anyway, this app would be totally perfect for me if that was an adjustable feature (like every 10 minutes! 20!). Alarm-alarm-alarm-then-snooze is so irritating for me, and the alternative being no repeating at all renders it totally ineffective for me. ### 2/5 — Update this app *2022-12-21, version 2.8.2* For the love of god can we please update this app? Aber so langsam sollte der Entwickler die App auf das neueste iOS anpassen, damit man noch viele Jahre Freude daran hat, sonst wird diese irgendwann nicht mehr laufen. Den Entwickler gibt es noch, denn seine App Moxtopper wurde kürzlich aktualisiert. Alte Rezension: Habe immer nach einer guten Erinnerungsapp gesucht. Hier kann man wirklich sehr viel einstellen. Patientendaten, halbe, ganze Pillen, Art des Medikamentes, Zeit in halben Stunden Schritten und sogar die Erinnerungsmusik sind einstellbar. Currently I’m recovering from knee surgery and it helps me to stay on schedule with my meds. Also, I’m using it for my physical therapy tracking. Currently I have 5 “meds” that are actually PT activities: 1X/Day 2X/Day 4X/Day 9X/Day Ice (happens to be also 9X/Day) Key point is the scheduling, just like for medications. ### 5/5 — Fantastic pill reminder *2022-02-24, version 2.8.2* I couldn’t believe all the versatility that this app offers! Unbelievably and dependable for all my medical records and reminders. Love that I can email my doctors my medical history and medicines. ### 4/5 — Snooze via Apple Watch rarely works. *2021-11-22, version 2.8.2* Have used this app for about five years now and it’s a fantastic app besides one point 😢 when trying to snooze reminders via Apple Watch it rarely works so I have to snooze via phone. Mark as taken or skipped works fine via watch, it is only the snooze. Sadly I’m getting fed up with it now. I’ve tried sticking with it. Alarms for 9 AM meds quit working. The others all worked. I tried resetting reminders, which looked simple enough, but now most of my meds in the due now list have disappeared. I went back in and rescheduled all of them, but they no longer appear in my due now list. It makes this totally useless for me. I’m terribly frustrated. This went from being the best app for medication reminders to useless just this morning. I’m just sick about this! You set the schedule, you can input if you skip/miss meds, there's no subscription, no email list, no ads. It just works. I just need this app to be updated for at least iOS 18, so I know it'll still work for the next few years. Other medicine reminders are complicated and not as customizable and visibly appealing. That’s one of my favorite features. The photos I use. Also Scheduling a reminder is easy by just dropping a pill into a pillbox. I also love that you don’t have to have Wi-Fi connection to use it. Always reminds me of schedule even when the phone is on sleep mode. I don’t blame the dev even if this app is abandoned. It has been so many years and I know just maintaining dev status is a financial burden. But dev, please know that this app has helped me tremendously in maintaining my meds regimen over the years. I have issues with the heart and take a lot of meds multiple times a day. I’m not exaggerating when I say this app keeps me alive. I just saw an update made by Apple. Something about a certificate. I am scared to update. I don’t know what I’ll do when one day Pillboxie stops working... My review from a few years ago: Every time iOS gets rev’d, I’m afraid that Pillboxie will stop working. This isn’t the fault of the dev; I understand that the effort necessary to keep this app updated may not necessarily pay off from business standpoint. But please, please keep this app functionally updated. I’ve been using this app for many years now, and, this app is critical to my health. If this app was not free, I will still happily pay to get to use it. Perhaps the dev can include some way for me to donate, so that I can show my appreciation for this important app. Thank you dev for this wonderful app to keep me honest with all the medication I need to take daily, to stay healthy and alive.
