## What is Pillo AI?

Your pill's passport.

You're abroad, you reach into your bag for your usual headache pill, and the label is in a language you don't read. Or you're packing for a trip and wondering whether your prescription is even sold where you're going. Pillo answers both questions in seconds.

Pillo is a travel companion for medicines. Type any brand or active ingredient and Pillo shows you what it's called in the country you're in right now - plus what it's called back home, side by side - so you can say the right word at either pharmacy.

Covers India, the USA, the UK, Australia, and the UAE.

WHY YOU'LL USE IT

* Identify medicines by name, pill photo, or package scan.
* Check availability before you buy - OTC, pharmacist-only, prescription, controlled, or unavailable.
* Find local equivalents when travelling.
* Get country-specific warnings for medicines that differ between regions.

NAME LOOKUP

Search by brand name or active ingredient. Pillo shows matching local brands, availability information, and country-specific guidance.

SCAN A PILL

Take a photo and Pillo uses on-device OCR to read imprint codes, estimate shape, colour, and size, then compare results against a curated database. When no imprint is visible, Pillo provides an appearance-only suggestion clearly marked as low confidence.

SCAN A STRIP OR BOTTLE

Point your camera at medicine packaging and Pillo extracts the medicine name automatically.

LIVE LOOKUP

For medicines outside the bundled travel database, Pillo queries NIH RxNorm / RxNav and openFDA data sources to provide ingredient and availability information.

MY MEDICINES

Save medicines once and Pillo automatically updates local brand names whenever you switch countries.

APPLE INTELLIGENCE

On supported devices, on-device Foundation Models generate a short traveller briefing for each medicine. A curated offline guide is used when Foundation Models are unavailable.

EMERGENCY MODE

Quick access to local emergency numbers, nearby pharmacies in Maps, and emergency reference information.

SIRI & SHORTCUTS

"Hey Siri, find a medicine in Pillo."

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Pill scans run on-device. Traveller briefings run on-device. Pillo does not require an account, does not track users, and does not upload medicine lists.

Pillo is a reference tool, not a medical device, and not medical advice. Medicine identification may be incorrect, especially when pills do not have readable imprints. Always confirm with a pharmacist or doctor before taking, switching, or stopping any medication.
