## What is Pillsapp?

Pillsapp is a thoughtful medication reminder designed to make daily routines easier to follow.

CREATE A SCHEDULE THAT FITS YOUR DAY
Add each medication, dosage, notes, and as many reminder times as you need. Choose fixed times or an every-few-hours schedule for medications that follow an interval.

KNOW WHAT COMES NEXT
Your Today screen keeps the next dose front and center. When a reminder arrives, record it as taken, choose a different time, or ask Pillsapp to remind you again later.

REVIEW YOUR ROUTINE
See your dose history and adherence by day. Need to correct an entry or add a dose you took earlier? You can update past records with the time that works for you.

OPTIONAL PHOTO PROOF
For important doses, you can enable an on-device camera check. Proof photos remain on your device and are never uploaded by Pillsapp.

KEEP FAMILY IN THE LOOP
Share medication status with a trusted family member using iCloud. Family views and widgets make it easier to notice when support may be needed.

REMINDERS THAT RESPECT YOU
Choose from several sounds, use time-sensitive notifications where available, customize appearance, and reduce background motion for a calmer experience.

### 1.6 — 2026-08-20

This is a big one. Reminders that never give up, smarter dose timing, supplements, and travel support.

Reminders that do not stop. They keep coming until you take your dose, until your next dose is due, or until your bedtime. They start close together and space out, so it feels like persistence instead of hammering. If reminders are ignored, your phone still rings like a call.

Over sixty reminder messages. Light when you are a few minutes late, serious when it matters. Pick the voice in Settings: Gentle, Funny, or Tough love.

Smarter timing. Your set time is your schedule and it never drifts. Take a dose early and the next reminder comes forward once the full interval has passed. Take one late and you are back on schedule the same day, with a safety gap so two doses can never land too close together.

Supplements. Mark vitamins and the like as supplements: they still remind you until you log them, but they never ring your phone, never alert family, and never need a photo. Take them at a fixed time or any time in the day, daily, weekly, or monthly.

Travel support. Change time zones and the app notices, keeps your doses on their original times, and offers a gradual shift to local time. Reminders now survive mid-flight clock changes.

Family improvements. Remove a family member with a long press, and it sticks. Family now see supplements in their own quiet section, separate from medication.

Sound fixes. All reminder tones, the loud alarm, and family alert sounds now play properly, and you can preview each tone in the sound picker. A new setting hides the medication name on your lock screen.

Safer editing. Deleting a medication or a dose time now tells you how much history is attached and asks before anything is removed. Your history is kept unless you choose to erase it.

Plus many reliability fixes for reminder calls, including calls that rang for the wrong dose or kept ringing after a dose was taken.

### 1.3 — 2026-07-29

Important fix for anyone who restarts their iPhone.

If you restarted your phone, the app could open looking empty — no medications, no history, no photos — even though everything was still safely stored on the device. This update fixes that, and makes sure it can never happen again.

What changed:

• Your records are never overwritten. Between a restart and your first unlock, iPhone keeps app data encrypted and the app genuinely cannot read it. Pillsapp now recognises that moment instead of mistaking it for a fresh install, and it will never save over records it hasn't read.

• A clear message instead of a blank app. If you open Pillsapp in that window, it now says your medications are safe and to unlock your phone — and it loads them the second you do.

• Automatic backups. Pillsapp now keeps seven days of rolling on-device backups, plus a copy of your full history in your private iCloud. Your dose history previously had no off-device copy at all.

• Your proof photos are self-describing. Each photo folder now carries a record of which medication and dose it belongs to.

• Deleting a medication keeps its dose history instead of erasing it.

• Deleting your account no longer wipes this iPhone if iCloud can't be reached — it tells you and stops, so nothing is lost by half.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-26

This update is all about reminders you can rely on.

• Fixed reminders that arrived silently. Snoozing a dose used to quietly switch off the rest of that day's reminders — it no longer does, and reminders now break through Focus properly.
• Fixed reminders disappearing. A reminder that arrived while the app was open now stays in Notification Center instead of vanishing with the banner.
• Fixed the "Loud (Critical)" alert tone, which played no sound at all.
• Evening doses no longer lose their reminder when you take several medications a day.
• Family in another country now works. Their day, their times, and their progress are shown on their clock — so a dose taken in the evening no longer looks like "nothing scheduled" to someone hours ahead.
• Widgets keep themselves up to date, including after midnight, instead of waiting for you to open the app.
• The Today screen only asks you to take a dose when one is actually due. Otherwise it confirms the dose you just took and tells you when the next one is.

### 1.1 — 2026-07-23

Redesigned Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets — your medications' own colors, a live countdown, a clear overdue look, and a family view that turns red when someone you care for needs a check-in.

Also in this update:
• The Today screen now always shows the dose that needs you first — an overdue morning dose is never hidden behind tonight's.
• Tapping "Taken" on a reminder now opens the photo check for photo-proof medications.
• Undoing a logged dose brings its reminders and calls right back.
• Many small fixes for smoother daily use.
