I must say that I am very impressed the realistic altimeter that you have created. It’s sensitive — it even registered an altitude gain & loss as the car I was riding in went over a highway overpass. The instrument’s hands move smoothly, just like a real altimeter’s hands do. The “Pressure Compensation Adjustment” feature works beautifully. When I first downloaded the app, I noticed that the “PCA” could be adjusted only in 0.02 “ Hg in. increments — even-numbered altimeter settings (29.90, 29.92, 29.94, etc.). Since then, however, I’ve discovered that odd-numbered settings (e.g.: 29.95) can be input by manually grabbing and rotating the dial within the Kollsman window to the desired “more-accurate” setting, which then is displayed as “29.95” on the “PCA” display readout. The developer might want to include that capability in the “instructions”, since I found out about that feature, solely by accident. I believe that it is accurate enough, to be used as an “EMERGENCY BACK-UP ONLY” altitude instrument, ONLY IN UNPRESSURIZED AIRCRAFT, in case of failure of the on-board altimeter, or of the entire pitot-static system.
