## What is Pilot EFB?

Decoded weather and NOTAMs for any airport, a logbook that keeps itself current, and EASA and FAA duty limits you can read at a glance. One app, built for pilots, working offline.

Pilot EFB is for personal information and organization. It is not a certified Electronic Flight Bag. Always check official sources and your operator's procedures before making operational decisions.

FREE TO START, NO ACCOUNT NEEDED

Weather, NOTAMs, the airport reference and every calculator are free with no time limit. A free account adds a usage allowance rather than a countdown:
- Up to 300 logged hours in the logbook
- Up to 20 duties, typed in or imported from your roster
- Up to 3 saved flight folders

Pilot EFB Pro removes those limits and adds cloud sync across your devices, the aviation chart, 30 days of weather history, decoded NOTAM briefings and PDF logbook exports. Monthly and annual plans.

WEATHER AND NOTAMS

Read decoded METARs and TAFs with the original report always alongside. Runway wind components, flight-rules categories and data-age badges tell you what the numbers mean and how fresh they are. Browse NOTAMs with runway references, keyword highlighting and change tracking between briefings, on a map or as a list. SIGWX, surface prognosis, winds and temperatures aloft, satellite and PIREPs are one tap away.

LOGBOOK

Quick entries with automatic nighttime calculation and carry-forward totals. Currency and recency tracking with configurable rules, license, rating and medical expiry reminders, simulator sessions, crew records and photo attachments. CSV import from ForeFlight, LogTen and others; CSV export is always free, and Pro adds the EASA-format PDF logbook and career report packs.

DUTY AND FLIGHT TIME LIMITS

Explore EASA ORO.FTL and FAA Part 117 for your own reference. Import your roster from a PDF, CSV or calendar file and see the factors behind each flight duty period, your cumulative limits and rest requirements, and what happens to the day with the what-if tool. Operator-specific configuration for OM-A deviations.

FLIGHT FOLDERS

Save the weather and NOTAMs you reviewed for a flight together. Each saved snapshot is hashed and checked again when displayed, so you can tell whether a saved record has changed.

PILOT TOOLS

Top of descent, rate of descent, required gradient, VDP and visual approach. Holding entries and timing, wind triangle, crosswind and 1-in-60. Fuel, weights and unit conversions, EET and ETA, world clock, sunrise and sunset, density altitude. ICAO flight plan form, checklists, scratchpad, timers, phonetic alphabet, squawk codes and Q-codes.

ON YOUR APPLE DEVICES

- iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch
- Home Screen widgets and Live Activities
- Siri Shortcuts, Spotlight search and the Share extension
- App lock with Face ID
- Red-light mode, VoiceOver and Dynamic Type

Your logbook and duty records are stored on your device, with optional cloud backup and sync when you choose to sign in. No ads, no data sales, and analytics only if you opt in.

Look up the weather at your home base, import a month of roster or log your next flight. Start free and upgrade if you need more.

### 1.0.12 — 2026-10-03

Hi pilots! Here's what's new in this update:

MORE WEATHER CHARTS
• Surface prognosis, significant weather, winds and temperatures aloft, low-level, upper-air and outlook charts, plus more satellite views.
• Charts stay sharp and steady when you zoom, and load even on slow connections.

GA PILOTS, THIS ONE'S FOR YOU
• Personal minimums profiles: set Standard, Night and IFR minimums, then switch between them in one tap. Any Night or IFR field you leave blank uses your Standard value, so you never lose a limit.
• Flight review tracker (14 CFR 61.56): enter the date you completed it and we'll work out when it runs out and remind you.
• SEP revalidation by experience (EASA FCL.740.A): see how your logbook stacks up against the hours, take-offs, landings and refresher flight you need.
• GA-friendly credentials: Class 3, BasicMed and LAPL medicals, endorsements and FAA certificate names.
• Tools are reordered for GA flying, so density altitude, fuel, sunrise/sunset and checklists come first.

DUTY TAB REDESIGN
• A fresh look on iPhone and iPad, with quick-access tiles for the tools you use most.

SMALL THINGS THAT MATTER
• Home now tells you when a newer version of Pilot EFB is on the App Store.
• An airport with no NOTAMs now says so, instead of looking like an outage.
• Aviation chart labels no longer pile up on top of each other.
• You no longer get signed out when the app wakes in the background after your iPhone restarts.

We've also updated our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You can read both in Settings > About.

Spotted a bug, something that looks off, or have an idea? We'd love to hear from you at support@pilotefb.com. We read every message.

Blue skies,
The Pilot EFB team

### 1.0.11 — 2026-10-02

Clearer weather charts and a tidier Duty page.

There are more weather charts to choose from. Prognosis charts, SIGWX and wind/temperature sheets, low-level and upper-air charts, outlooks and more satellite views now sit together, and charts open straight away on iPhone. The European surface-pressure chart is now drawn over a proper map, and labels on the aviation chart no longer pile on top of each other.

We've redesigned the Duty tab for iPhone and iPad. Quick-access tiles take you to your roster, history, calendar, reserve, what-if and the rules guide, so nothing hides off the edge of the screen.

Weather is more dependable, too. If one source has nothing new, another fills the gap, and during an outage you'll see the last real report with its time instead of a blank.

We've also fixed a few things. An airport with no NOTAMs now says so instead of "NOTAM service unavailable". Offline map updates show their progress. The Save button stays within reach on more editors. And a rare sign-out after restarting your iPhone is gone. Airport and airspace data has been refreshed, and Home will now tell you when a new version is on the App Store.

### 1.0.10 — 2026-09-26

A little less admin between flights.

Bringing your logbook over? CSV imports now come with a saved summary of totals and skipped rows, so it's easier to see what needs attention and try again.

Your duty calculations have a better paper trail, too. Reopen saved reports, share them as PDFs, and see clearer explanations for delayed reporting and FAA duty extensions.

We've also tidied up layouts for larger text and fixed a few stubborn issues with reporting-time zone selection, calculator inputs, unit conversions and NOTAM map controls.
