The new Pinakothek der Moderne app allows you to explore all four disciplines simultaneously, to develop new perspectives and to experience them in all their diversity. 
Choose out of our curated walks through the exhibitions or explore the richness of the Pinakothek der Moderne on your own. The integrated navigation guides you to the exhibit of your choice and provides you a new experience with the aid of text, audio and video. Scan the QR codes within an exhibition or search and favour exhibits to personalise your visit in the Pinakothek der Moderne. 
The museum overview page provides more information about the current opening hours and arrival options and allows you a better orientation within the building.

User instructions:
To be able to use the Pinakothek der Moderne app, you need a proper internet connection. The Pinakothek der Moderne offers you free wifi within the building. We suggest to activate location tracking to be able to experience all content and information within the app.

### 2/5 — Audio doesn’t work unless the app is fully open

I never write reviews for apps but I’m so annoyed by the thoughtlessness of this that I felt compelled to write one. This app has incredible information, pre curated walkthroughs and I love the way it’s flexible and allows you to put together your own ‘walks’. BUT the audio commentary ONLY works if your phone is open and the app is open (not backgrounded). How is this helpful?? It drains my battery if I want to keep it on, or otherwise abruptly shuts off if my phone auto closes or I switch apps to write a note or a take a photo. It makes me want to leave the museum altogether. 
Developers, please fix this for the next users.

Hier steht, die App erfasst keine Daten. Das erste, was die App mich nach dem runterladen fragt, ist, wie sie mit meinen Nutzerdaten umgehen soll. Sie will auch meinen Standort haben. QR-Code Reader geht nicht. Audio walks funktionieren nicht, dass man sie selber zusammenzustellt, oder ich verstehe die Menüführung nicht. Unübersichtliche Menüs, aber sehr viele Inhalte, diese aber oft eher langweilig, wie ein Katalog Eintrag, nur vorgelesen. Diese App bietet viel Inhalte, ist aber nicht gut umgesetzt aus meiner Sicht.

Es tut mir total leid zu mosern. Ich finde schon klasse, dass es überhaupt eine App gibt. Aber bei meinem Versuch, mir damit den Besuch zu vereinfachen bin ich gescheitert. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass die Führung im Sinne eines Walk nicht so richtig klappt. Vielleicht ist das Haus dafür zu unübersichtlich oder die örtliche Markierung zu unklar. Am Ende habe ich die Ausstellung so genossen, wie es am besten ist: mich treiben lassen. Das bisschen was ich im Audio Guide gehört habe fand ich wenig inspirierend und leider echt leierig, sorry. Und um QR-Codes zu scannen brauche ich keine Apps.

Runterladen funktioniert, aber nach dem Öffnen der App funktioniert nichts, es gibt nur einen eingefrorenen Bildschirm . Vllt. müsstet ihr die App mal updaten und kompatibel mit der neuesten Software des IPhones machen? (IOS18.2)

Lückenhaftes WLAN im Museum. Nach der Installation der App blieb der Bildschirm beim „Willkommen in der Pinakothek der Moderne“ stehen. Und blieb trotz Neuinstallation genau dort während der gesamten Besuchszeit eingefroren.
