I got really excited when I stumbled over this in the Netflix app. I can’t believe this is the same company? The graphics look like they are from 2010, low res and no shading / depth and a huge step down from Zen pinball (created so many years ago now..). The balls are much more “floaty” that Zen pinball, the bumpers are very slow, and it feels incredibly easy like I’m playing in slow motion. But the absolute worst part is the camera situation. I can HARDLY read ANYTHING on the tables because there’s no zoom whatsoever, not even the camera angles that zoomed on different parts of the table from THEIR OTHER APP were incorporated. I seriously cannot read anything on these tables no matter how much I flipper-hold the ball and squint. Naturally this would be forgiven if there was landscape mode right? Like on THEIR OTHER APP? Unfortunately portrait only. How do you leave that off? Especially when so many are complaining about it? I see the Devs responding to reviews but why not incorporate even the most QOL complaint such as flipping the screen? I know yall went through severe restructuring and all but abandoned FX series and Zen Pinball (which I am immediately going back to and uninstalling this unfortunately). And that’s a shame because yall are the goats for digital pinball. But this app is just not it, these tables look really rough compared to your other tables from even 8+ years ago, and the UI is a bit of a mess. I wish it made sense that this didn’t utilize the exact same ball and table physics, fps rate, graphics, and camera modes (and portrait - landscape modes for God’s sake it’s 2025 lol) as the iOS Zen Pinball, but it just doesn’t. I know that this isn’t something that is “purchased” and since I’m assuming Zen already got their check, (and “responds” to reviews with ‘we will definitely consider that going forward!’ about landscape mode and 60fps mode a YEAR ago and crickets since, I won’t be expecting and updates or reason to come back anytime soon.
