## What is Pincushion Sewing Organizer?

Own it once. No subscription, no trial trap. Pincushion is a calm, private organizer for the sewing patterns, fabric, and projects you already have, built to work entirely on your device.

Bring the PDF patterns you own into one searchable library, match them against the fabric in your stash, and keep every make moving from planned to finished. Everything you organize stays with you.

WHAT PINCUSHION DOES
- Pattern library: import the PDF patterns you own, tag them by designer, garment, size, and the fabric they need, and find any of them in seconds.
- Fabric stash: log your fabric with fiber, yardage, and width, add a swatch photo, and shop your own shelves before the store.
- Stash matching: open a pattern to see which fabrics in your stash can cover it at the right width, with an honest "enough" or "a bit short" and never a computed cut instruction.
- Avoid duplicates: a quiet check flags a pattern you may already own before you buy it again.
- Project journal: move each make from planned to cutting to done, park the ones on hold without guilt, and plan your year with a Make-Nine grid.
- Project Sheet: one printable page per make with pattern, size, mods, fabric, notions, and a cutting checklist to take to the table or the shop.
- Reference guides: a bundled library of sewing know-how, stored locally, no network needed.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your data stays on your device. No account, no ads, no third-party analytics. We never see what you organize.

There is no sign-in and nothing to create an account for. You can export a backup of your whole library whenever you like and keep it wherever you choose, so your data is always yours to move, and backing it up is free forever.

PINCUSHION FULL
Organizing your patterns, fabric, and projects, and backing them up, is free. Pincushion Full is a one-time purchase (no subscription, no renewals) that unlocks exporting and sharing your Project Sheets as PDFs and the complete reference-guide library.

### 5/5 — So helpful!

*2026-09-08*

Such a helpful app to keep all of my sewing patterns and projects organized. I initially had some issues with a few features, but I reached out to the developers and they responded quickly and updated/added the features I was hoping for within a few days! Can’t wait to see how the app keeps evolving! I definitely recommend it

**Developer response:** Thank you so much — this made our day! You are the reason those features exist: your notes told us exactly what a sewist needs from a pattern and stash organizer, and we're glad the updates landed within days. There's more on the way, and your feedback will keep shaping it. Happy sewing!

### 2/5 — A Good Idea

*2026-09-03*

For the most part it works ok.
I found there is no way to edit anything. If I put a pattern in wrong category or accidentally add the same pattern twice there is no way to delete individual patterns.
Just erase all the data and start again.
Would also be nice to input custom widths for yardage or select what needle size

**Developer response:** Thank you for this review — you were right on every point, and I'm sorry the first version made you erase everything just to fix one entry. Your feedback directly shaped the update that's out now:

• You can edit any pattern after adding it — same form, already filled in.
• You can delete a single pattern. Your makes keep their notes; the app just tells you beforehand that they'll no longer point to it.
• The size table takes your own fabric widths, so you can copy 54" or 140 cm straight off the envelope, not just 45" and 60".
• Needle size is a free field — "80/12 universal", whatever your pattern says.

Pincushion is a tiny two-person app, so a review like yours really does change what gets built. If the update works for you, we'd be grateful if you gave it another look — and if anything still gets in your way, write to us, it lands straight on my desk.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-09-07

Your pattern PDF now opens where you left it, even after the screen has gone to sleep. And while it is open the screen stays on, so you are not reaching for the phone with fabric in your hands.

Both came from a reader who wrote in after the last update. Keep it coming: petr-nezval@email.cz

### 1.2 — 2026-09-05

Almost all of this came from two people who wrote in. Thank you — keep it coming.

EDIT AND DELETE
- Edit a pattern after you have added it: the same form as adding, filled in with what is already there.
- Delete a pattern you no longer want. Makes that used it are kept, only unlinked, and the alert says so before you confirm.

FIXED
- Tapping a project in the journal opened a blank new-make screen instead of that project. It now opens the make you tapped.
- Editing a make moves it to the top of the journal, where you would expect it.
- "Backup my library" in Profile did nothing when tapped. It now opens Backup.

MORE OF WHAT IS ON THE ENVELOPE
- Sizes you have made, kept as tags.
- Your own fabric widths in the size table: keep 45" and 60", or add 54", 140 cm, whatever the envelope prints. Copied as printed, never recalculated.
- Needle size in your own words: "80/12 universal", "stretch 75/11".
- Your own tags, such as home decor, and a filter for them in the library.
- Notes on a pattern: length adjustments, which size you cut, anything worth knowing next time.
- A cover photo of your own instead of the PDF's first page.
- The two numeric yardage fields now say what they are for: stash matching.

ON THE HOME SCREEN AND AT THE TABLE
- Projects you are cutting or sewing now show on the home screen, so you do not have to go looking for them.
- The project sheet preview has a checklist you can tick off as you cut. It stays ticked, it is free, and PDF export is unchanged.
