I had to look them up somewhere else to figure out how to play. Ie got stuck the first time I played Pineapple vs Chinese as I didn’t know I had to discard one of the three cards. Also would love if we could play with 4 players on Chinese as there are enough cards. The ui is great. A couple issues: there are no rules, no information on scoring, or anything helpful to get new users up and running. Youre kind of on your own to figure things out. Second, the pro version is absurdly expensive. 19.99 a month is more than top streaming services. Can’t play against AI. The AI never sets there initial hand so can’t play. Everything else works great, I just wish AI was able to work. ### 3/5 — Glaring deficiencies *2024-07-26, version 1.37* The apps layout is great. User experience is good for the most part. It fails on two fronts: 1- there’s no documentation anywhere on how the game works, the scoring, how much time does one have per turn, how many free plays, how does one climb the leader board, etc, there is in fact no documentation whatsoever. 2- some app bugs. E.g. the app sometimes accepts me into a tournament but then doesn’t actually seat me or deal me cards. If I refresh, app says I already my used free tournament and next one available is in a few hours. Also, it sometimes refuses to register a play and then places the cards in default positions instead. But it was popular because a lot of users were real life poker players playing for real life stakes in the side. So, yes, if one is playing several acquaintances for real stakes, one would find it equitable to pay for the subscription. Unfortunately, this game is no longer trendy. If one just wants to play solitaire agains the bot, it's doesn't make sense to pay the monthly subscription, let alone $180 per year. It's really unfortunate because I like playing Pineapple, but as I said, people have moved on to mix and dealers choice, and I can't in good conscience recommend this app to my non-gaming progress friends for fun. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-10-06, version 1.37* I type in phone number and it just shakes and glows red so I can’t play.
