The other problem is it also tells me that the survey is closed when it just arrived and I opened it, the screens also lock up and then it says survey no longer available. I guess it needs updated to a better system ### 2/5 — I Want to Like This App *2025-12-13* I downloaded it for the first time, understanding that new members were being given a $5 bonus for completing a survey. I haven’t received my $5. I started the survey but got kicked out of it and it hasn’t reappeared, so I haven’t been able to receive the $5 dollar bonus. I’ve contacted support and haven’t gotten a response yet. I’m waiting because I know it sometimes take time. Having these problems makes me want to delete the app. There are many other apps to choose from but I will wait and give it a chance ### 2/5 — Not a good upgrade *2025-12-11, version 2.1* I agree that the old version was better. I can get an email notification for a survey and immediately click on it and it says survey closed. Or the survey doesn’t load, or without doing anything it says I don’t qualify for the survey. Recently, I’ve even completed the surveys and get a system error message when submitting so I don’t get compensated for the survey. Customer service is a joke and just sends form letters without even acknowledging the problem. Enjoyed the surveys, enjoyed the rewards. Present day continues to be a disappointment. Everyday I have survey invites. Today, I attempted about 6, same conclusion, screen out. I rarely qualify, every 4 months I lose points because I cannot qualify like back in the day. It’s frustrating. This once was a very enjoyable site for survey taking. I get tons of emails most say I don’t qualify. Others I do until the end and then it says I don’t qualify and they the survey is closed. Most of the time these surveys are 20-30 long. Look!! My time is valuable and worth Paying for it. I don’t work for free. I feel they want slave labor, I’m not down for that. Are there tons of new surveys? YEP! Well, according to the volume of emails I get anyway. The problem is… 1- all those surveys aren’t in my "available" section & 2- apparently I'm not qualified for any of the ones that DO show up!! I’ve completed every single box of my profile as instructed IN ORDER TO get more surveys. But I have only been eligible to complete ONE survey in SEVEN MONTHS!!! I’d have a huge handful done by now with the old site… but not here. And I loved doing them which is what made me continue to always come back but now it’s very discouraging. My major disappointment with it is they use to let you cash out with PayPal and they don’t anymore, I was disappointed to have to get a virtual visa that you cant transfer the amount to anything else ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2026-04-29, version 2.2* This company will have you complete an entire survey that takes 10-20mins and then get to the end and throw up a message saying the goals were already met and not give credit. This happens so often it’s not a fluke or timing. It’s theft of your time and thoughts. ### 1/5 — Nope skip it *2026-04-29* No longer give cash checks and it uses a point system now. Games not recognized and you don’t get any points. Making this useless and no you cannot do surveys when you want they would discontinue your account when they’re done using and wasting your time. Going to delete account and report them. Been months since I got points all surveys is useless and not available. They send emails daily for useless surveys if they don’t use surveys anymore remove it from your site. I only got points from the games. Then they try to kick you when you don’t do their surveys when you do its unfortunately closed. How? when I just receive the survey. Company is down bad they scammy and gets your data for free by making bad surveys. ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2026-04-15, version 2.2* The site used to be good but after they updated last year it’s become terrible. I’ll complete a survey, answering all questions, and then they decide at the very end I don’t qualify. That’s something that should have been done at the beginning, not after I completed the survey. It’s become very scammy because I’m sure they’re still collecting that survey data and just not paying out. Also you can only cash out in specific increments now and only get gift cards. As soon as I reach the cash out amount, I’m closing my account. Now I rarely qualify for surveys even after numerous attempts, I finish surveys to the end and receive messages that the survey is closed so I don’t get credit, and I am no longer receiving products to try. I haven’t been able to take One survey since the site updated. I finally used my old points(after losing some) to get an e-card. I became aware of all the one star reviews after considering downloading the app to my phone. It’s a definite no go for me. ### 1/5 — Won’t let me login *2026-01-21* I’ve been using this website successfully for months, then one day it stopped letting me login. It says my password is incorrect, but it’s the right one. And when I go to change my password I receive no email to do so. They have loved me out of my account and I haven’t been able to get very much help with this. I had $60 in my account that I can no longer access. Months of surveys down the drain! ### 1/5 — Not the same *2026-01-19, version 2.1* I used to enjoy completing the surveys, participating in research and getting rewarded. Now I have a ton of survey opportunities but never qualify. I take time to start the surveys and then never end up qualifying and don’t get any points. I got an email telling me to participate but it’s not worth my time to do so with no reward/benefit. Also, no longer give cash it uses a point system now and now it’s just like the other survey apps scammy and useless because you don’t get enough points to cashout and basically wasting your time. I had 1200 points in my account and just earned points for a completed survey the other day. Today I go to log in to my account to cash out my points for a gift card and my account is now saying I have 0 points. I don’t know what is going on but for them to just take all 1200 of my points for zero reason is not cool. I contacted support but I’m not holding my breath they will correct their actions. ### 5/5 — Blidz app *2024-05-11* Have been a panelist since July of 2024 and at first I was having trouble with surveys and they would just continue to load if I used the link from my email. So I started using the browser or app and it was fine. I love this app for a little extra in my savings account ### 4/5 — Pays fast *2023-12-14, version 1.6.2* Been a panelist over 10 years and it’s high time Pinecone pays more than the same $3.00 per survey. While $3.00 is better than $1.00, is it worth my time to take surveys and only get paid pennies. Please bump up your pay scale. I am more than sure $5.00 per survey won’t hurt your bottom dollar. Furthermore, there used to be plenty at home testing products to try. I haven’t received any at home testing products in years. Testing products is a part of why I stayed with this company. I don’t want to rate products based on a description, but on actual use of that product. As for people not wanting to use prepaid virtual card, I can understand that. Where can you spend $3.00? I use my card to purchase Amazon gift cards. I go to Amazon and pick the Amazon gift card and put in the amount. Then I use virtual card to pay for it. $3.00 goes into my account balance. As stated above, Pinecone Research needs to pay minimum of $5.00 per survey. Everything costs way more today. You can’t buy anything with $3.00. ### 4/5 — Need more surveys *2023-10-17, version 1.6.2* I seriously love this app but lately haven’t been qualified for a survey. This is one of my favorite place to do surveys. Need more surveys!!!! ### 4/5 — Works for me….. *2022-07-12, version 1.6.2* I see a lot of bad reviews but, I’ve been doing these surveys for a couple years now. You get $3 per survey and sometimes you will get samples to test and then a survey for the product. I like that I can make extra money when I need it however, my only issue is that lately, a lot of the surveys will not load. And after so many tries loading the survey, the app will say that I don’t qualify for that particular survey and then it disappears. It was working good for a while but it could really use an update on the loading issues. ### 4/5 — App is buggy but Pinecone is legit *2021-01-24, version 1.5.3* Yeah, the reviews that say the app is buggy and not well-developed are accurate! It's pretty crappily designed. HOWEVER, I absolutely LOVE the way this company is doing product evaluation and testing. The surveys are basically the same every time so you know what to expect in terms of questions and time required to complete them. They pay the same every time, and instead of most sites where it's like $0.01 for taking a 45-minute survey, they give you $3 for less than 15 minutes of your time. Best of all-- You don't have to go through an hour of qualification questions just to get told you don't qualify or earn anything! The money adds up quickly and I've earned $100-200 each year from this. Probably one of the best, if not THE BEST, side cash apps out there that doesn't violate your privacy or ask suspicious questions. I've even been sent several products to try out, which is super cool and fun, and can earn you more money sometimes. Yes, the app is horrible, so I use the website most of the time. Which can still be buggy but I've never had any serious problems. They don't really have a limit on what you can cash out after the first time, so I usually just do it about every $15-24 just in case something happens with their website. You can also buy things with points but I prefer the flexibility of currency. They don't have Paypal cash-out anymore, which is sad, but they have other good options too. Karen Scott is usually pretty good about answering questions and helping with issues as well over email. So yeah, more of a review of the company than the app, but if they just had better developers, this could easily be the best (and actually legit) side cash and product-testing app out there. Just so many good things to say about the company, despite its weaknesses in programming. ### 4/5 — Hit or miss *2020-10-07* This app and the website can be clunky. Often the survey will freeze right in the middle, or pages will take 10 minutes or more to move on. However, this is still a legit survey site - and they actually pay you (one of the few).
