AR images are now more stable when snapping to the object. It also looks like the camera is able to focus more effectively with the app now. Biggest criticism is that it still won’t detect certain pins no matter what. ### 1/5 — Do not trust *2025-09-08, version 2.5* Long time customer unfortunately ripped of. Made an order in May. Was charged including shipping for an order that never was sent. Was the victim in a traffic accident after three months was off life support and free. Collected the paperwork from pay pal, my bank , USPS and more easily proving my claim. Reached out in June and it could not be fulfilled because they didn’t have it. It became back in stock, I contacted the company ( Hannah) and was given a tracking number and told it would ship in 48 hours. That was Aug 20th. So they have my money, won’t ship a 4 month old order that’s in stock and ignore emails. I’ll spend ten times what they stole just so a company learns that theft is no Buisness model. Order their products at your own risk. They are so unprofessional and scummy they can discontinue the app then where is the ar in the pin you purchased. Love the pin though! ### 1/5 — Trash App. Trash Products. *2025-08-28, version 2.5* The only reason I bought anything from you is because I’m a Doom Collector. Original DOS Doom 1 and Doom 2 were masterpieces. This is clearly a way to monetize ID Software’s success. The app is trash. Took me 26 minutes to check out two doom guy pins. Even when it finally “read” it was buggy/glitchy/etc. it was all upside down and skewed. No real controls. Then when I finally find a decent pin with the original cover art. You can’t even set the HD image as wallpaper or anything. I like the pins. They’ll go into the collection and at the huge discount I received to purchase them. I can’t complain past the app. App is trash. Buy the pins because you like them. Not for the weak claims of AR Enhancement. lol. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2025-08-17, version 2.5* This app has not and I fear will not ever function as I have been wholly unable to get it to actually scan my pin and make it function. ### 2/5 — Can’t scan items in Star Trek game *2025-08-09, version 2.5* I can see the pinfinity logo start to form over things I need to scan and then it vanishes and goes to camera mode, which seems to be useless. Also there are no settings to turn off interface sounds so the more you try this the more annoyed you will get by the repetitive sounds. One time we scanned something that played audio and there was no visual indication. My volume was down so we had no idea it was even playing. ### 1/5 — App is partial to iPhones *2025-08-05, version 2.5* Ummmmm no. I haven’t been able to scan my pin since it was gifted to me on 7/23/25. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I’m guessing this app doesn’t like Apple products. Ooooh but my friends with Samsung phones scanned the pin and it miraculously work. Feels gimmicky. No feedback from the app to indicate that it is failing. I changed network (WiFi to cellular) since the website mentions needing a network connection. You’d figure you can use the front camera too but no option. Gave it one star since there is no account needed. ### 1/5 — Rarely actually works (iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro Max) *2025-04-28, version 2.4* The whole concept is novel, but the app doesn’t even do what it promises to do. I have 4 MTG pins that won’t get scanned by the app 90% of the time. Brightly lit room, no obstructions, etc. Still can’t scan them. Very poor app since it’s a key selling feature they’ve positioned for the pins. This app is a dumpster fire. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — iPhone 17 pro max doesn’t work *2026-07-26, version 2.6* It won’t attempt to use any of the other camera’s, I ended up playing well enough to win a coin in MTG and come to find out nothing amount of light, Angle, background or anything I tested worked. I do hope it gets fixed as I would love to get the background. ### 1/5 — So bad *2026-06-16, version 2.6* It just doesn't work. The pins are really awesome when they were, but the app only works like 1% of the time. I have tried it on many different phones, android and iOS and it's just abysmal. I reached out to customer service, which told me multiple times that they were working on a new build to be able to have at work and still nothing and no feedback. They make it seem like it’s just as easy as point the camera at the pin and watch the animation….I even watched YouTube vids on how to do this…it doesn’t work! I love the dnd pins and their statblock AR function :) ### 5/5 — Awesome AR Pins *2025-04-02, version 2.4* Started collecting pins recently and absolutely love the AR feature this app provides for my Pinfinity collection! Watching the animations and getting access to digital items like wallpapers is an awesome bonus to the physical pin itself! Can’t wait to see how the app evolves and the new pins that will be released in the future! ### 5/5 — Neat pins, neater app! *2025-03-31, version 2.4* I’m a huge fan of enamel pins and these guys make the coolest pins. But to make it even better each one interacts with this app allowing you to see hear or experience extras with you collectibles. Love the pin so far! Have been getting so many compliments!! ### 5/5 — Pinfinity AR App. *2024-01-27* The AR app itself is incredibly simple to use. Albeit, there does need to be ample lighting for the AR target to be captured. As far as the AR itself goes, I do wish more recent releases had more thought out animations like most older pins do. That being said, some newer pins have more interactive features than older pins such as lore along with DLC. A few pins even have functional elements such as a working D20 and a pin that is used in conjunction with a tabletop mystery game. When interacting with AR it would be neat to enable haptic feedback to enhance the experience when selecting elements of the AR. Would also love to be able to log my collection in app and even make purchases.
