## What is Ping! OK?

Ping! is a personal safety check-in app for the moments when someone should know you are okay.

Start a timed safety session before a run, commute, trip, late walk or solo appointment. If you do not check in before the deadline and grace period, Ping can escalate through the backend and alert the trusted contacts you configured.

What Ping helps with:

- Timed safety check-ins with a clear deadline
- Trusted emergency contacts
- Automatic backend escalation after missed check-ins
- SMS, email and voice alert delivery
- Live readiness checks before you rely on the setup
- A responder packet with useful context for trusted contacts
- Siri Shortcuts entry points for everyday routines

Ping is designed to be practical, testable and explicit. The readiness card shows whether your account, contacts, backend delivery and live test status are ready before you depend on the app.

Important: Ping is not an emergency dispatch, medical monitoring or police/fire/ambulance service. It does not automatically contact 112, 911 or other official emergency services. Ping alerts the trusted contacts you configure, and you should test your setup before relying on it.
