This will at least get u your swing type. ### 1/5 — Bought an Accessory then they cancelled access *2020-05-14, version 3.1.8* Bought an accessory from ping to use this app and then shortly after they removed my access to the app. Ping is normally one of the most customer focused golf companies but this move leaves a very sour taste in my mouth and upset a lot of people. Instead of changing the app to allow only authorized ping fitters, couldn't you just have made a new app? And I really LOVE the resolution for the bothersome people that bought this stupid plastic $20 iPhone putter case that no longer is worth $0.05 .... the solution is to contact iTunes. I’ve had the app and the cradle for years. I used this app to aid my practice on my putting stroke with my fitted Ping putters from Gainsborough. I loved the handicap mode as it gave me a target to improve. It’s now only for Ping fitters so amateurs can’t use the app even with the cradle which we bought from you. Why can’t you release a simplified version with just the practice and handicap modes if your worried about fitters having no work??? I’d be even willing to pay for the app if I could use it!!!! ### 1/5 — Used to be excellent - now it’s unusable *2019-11-24, version 3.1.7* I used to use this for my putting practice and found it really helpful particularly when I was changing my putting grip. I could alter my grip to left hand low for example, then have a putting session and look at my consistency and stroke type to see if the change was for the better. But now it’s locked in to Ping pros with official Ping accounts. Gee, thanks Ping. The bad right now is it won’t save my game and finish. Every time I look to see the time after a game, there’s the app. I have to reboot my watch to get it to go away. Please! Please! Crashed and can not get to work anymore. After selecting “Play Golf”, it just sits at “Getting your location...” When it works, it’s the best app. Also when playing the 9 hole course it freaks out and then the second nine gives me a huge amount to the next hole. The putting information is invaluable especially for a PGA Professional like me. My students are putting better already and the data reinforces what we work on. Knowledge is power! Please bring back the finer details (height/wrist to floor/style) for putter fittings. I don't use the full swing data, but players must understand that this info is for motivation and guidance. No device on your wrist will be as accurate as 3D body tracking and launch monitor data. ### 5/5 — Incredible *2014-09-26, version 1.3.1* I taped it to my putter to see if it would work before buying the holder. I was verry impressed. It told me i had a strong arcing stroke but i didnt believe it. Tried the holder on all my putters, it always said Strong Arc. I had always missed putts by half a ball width and was three and four putting. Well i trusted it and bought a Ping Anser putter made for a strong arc. I am now sinking amazing putts. Down to lots of one putts and rest two putts. It is magic. I swear i cannot thank Ping enough for saving my game and bringing fun into the game instead of moan after moan, green after green. Excellent. ### 5/5 — Works great *2013-07-16, version 1.3.1* After reading other reviews I downloaded the app first to see if it would work before buying the holder. The App did not work at first, I had to re calibrate it after the first time and it started working like a charm and sometimes when you first start I hit the sound button to wake it up. I contacted ping on the app not working and they said its not a common problem so just mess around with the settings and re calibrate. it does work awesome I love the info! If ping is reading this it would be awesome to incorporate what color dot putter you need off the info, take that to a fitter to double check, and sometimes not every ball that gets hit registers. ### 5/5 — Works for me *2013-04-29, version 1.3.1* I have read a few of the reviews that said the latest version of this app doesn't register putts. I risked it anyway, and went to pick up a cradle so I could give this app a shot. When I first set it up, it seemed as though all the negative reviews I read were true…then I turned off the music on my iPhone, and it's working just fine. Having said all of that, it's nice to have another diagnostic tool at my disposal to help improve my game. Will this improve my game? I think so.
