It is just about perfect. Creating a log for each photograph within the app is extremely useful. Bravo! ### 5/5 — Irreplaceable tool for Pinhole photographers! *2014-09-04, version 3.1.1* This light metering app covers all of the territory of Pinhole Photography, including settings for pinhole size (as an f-stop value), film speed and type, and reciprocity. You can also choose between reflected OR incident metering - whichever works best for you. Since adopting this light metering tool, I have never had an unusable negative. I love that I can save settings for all my cameras and recall them instantly in the moment. It immediately crashes when it loads. Light meter sometimes gets stuck, you have to restart to get it to work. When you make this app stable I'll give it 5 stars. ### 4/5 — Great But Room for Improvement *2025-09-06, version 4.37* This is really the best pinhole light metering app out there, and I can’t knock it. I make my own pinhole cameras, and I need the option to manually enter my own f stop if it does not appear on pulldown list. The app crashes within 5-10 seconds after I open it. After several tries, I deleted and re-installed the app but still getting same crashes. Perfect ! Could be nice if FP-3000B was implemented :-) ### 4/5 — Brilliant tool *2011-12-10, version 1.5* At last a really useful pinhole exposure app with built it iPhone lightmeter. One request would be that it also had a list lookup table of aperture/shutter time combos so for example I could meter with another camera then do the conversion for pinhole. Right now you need to either know the EV value (from an external meter) or use the built in iphone meter which is limited. Overall brilliant app and the reciprocity function makes it unique. I hope it stats actively developed and keeps improving. ### 5/5 — I use it every time *2026-01-02, version 4.39* This app is great for metering, getting a view of the picture the pinhole makes, and incorporating reciprocity curves. Even works with slide film (which is known for being tough to meter). I recommend it to everyone. The metering works well and it is easy to find and use aperture and film data. Timer helps a lot also. Good support, though I needed extra steps because developer uses Facebook for support. The combination of having a whole lot of camera presets built in, along with reciprocity failure calculation for a huge list of films, there's not really anything more I could ask to add. This is an absolute must have app if you're serious about nailing exposure in some tricky situations. Currently using Thingyfy lenses on my EOS 5D MKIV. I tried out this app for the first time today. With all parameters set correctly, I was able to get good exposures the first time. You have to covert the aperture diameters to f stops. Then you are ready to go. I was able to get good images with long exposures at ISO 100. Very pleased. It saves me the trouble of figuring out the exposure time given the small aperture of a pinhole camera. However, it does crash every single time I try to add a film (when I edit the reciprocity correction table). This is very annoying. ### 5/5 — My favorite pinhole app!! *2019-02-08, version 4.7* This is my go to app for pinhole photography. I just started playing around with pinhole cameras about a year ago and this has made getting good results much easier, especially because it takes reciprocity failure rate for whatever film you’re using into account. The only other option I wish it had was the ability to key in “normal” exposure settings from a handheld light meter or dslr test shots and convert it to your pinhole exposure settings.
