## What is Pink Rune?

Pink Rune is a year wall of detected rectangles. One photo a day, one Vision pass, one growing wall of shapes you noticed.

WHAT IT DOES
- Pick a photo with a rectangle in it (a door, a window, a sign, a screen, a painting)
- Apple Vision's on-device rectangle detector finds every quadrilateral shape in the photo
- The detected corners render as a colored vector overlay so you can see what Vision saw
- Save the day. Pink Rune stores the shape geometry and the count, not the original photo
- Lock Screen widget shows today's rectangle count
- Year end, scroll the year wall: 365 days as a single surface of detected shape sets

WHAT IT IS NOT
- Not a photo journal. The photo is the source the detector reads from, not the artifact you keep.
- Not a photo restyler. Pink Rune does not filter, blur, or beautify the photo.
- Not a sibling of Pink Album (which keeps the photo) or Pink Hatch (which restyles it with bokeh).

The artifact is the detected vector geometry. The photo is the seed.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- Apple Vision's VNDetectRectanglesRequest runs on-device. The photo never leaves your phone.
- Only the corner coordinates and the date are persisted.
- No accounts, no analytics, no third-party SDKs.
