## What is Pinned?

Your travel map, already filled in. Pinned reads the locations off your camera roll and offers you every city you have been to, on the device, in seconds. No account, no ads, nothing leaving your phone.

A travel tracker and bucket list for the places you have been and the ones you are still going to. Tap the ones you want. That is the whole setup.

ONE TAP TO LOG A PLACE
Search a city or a landmark, then mark it Been, Want or Favourite. That is the entire action. There are no forms, no setup steps, and no sign-in screen in front of it.

YOUR PHOTOS ALREADY KNOW
Pinned reads the coordinates stored in your camera roll and suggests the cities you have visited. Hundreds of places in a few minutes. The coordinate is read on the device and the photo is never copied, uploaded or kept.

LISTS AND WISHLISTS
Build a list for a city, a trip or a category, reorder it by hand, and send it to anyone through the standard share sheet. No account and no invite.

APPLE MAPS UNDERNEATH
Directions, transit and Look Around are the ones already on your phone.

PRIVACY BY ARCHITECTURE
This is not a policy that can be revised later. There is nowhere for the data to go.

- No account, ever
- No backend, so no breach and no server outage that takes your history with it
- Zero identifiers collected and no third-party tracking SDK in the app
- Optional backup to your own private iCloud, off until you turn it on

ONE PRICE, EVERYTHING IN IT
Free for 14 days, then one simple plan - yearly, or once-and-yours. Cities, landmarks, lists, wishlists, import and backup are all included. Nothing is capped, tiered or sold as a separate unlock. If you stop paying, your places stay on your phone and you can export every one of them.

Scroll down to App Privacy. It says Data Not Collected. That is not a promise, it is the architecture. There is no server for the data to reach.
Native iOS, no cross-platform framework, no ads, no trackers.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.15.1 — 2026-08-23

Open a list and every place in it is on the map — nothing folds into a cluster or hides behind a neighbour, and the zoom leaves room for the pins themselves.

Pins stay put while you zoom instead of appearing and disappearing as the map settles.

Tap the locate arrow twice: once for your neighbourhood, again for your street. Opening the app starts you at city scale rather than a whole region.

Nearby and Lists sections collapse, a list's photo reads larger at the head, every row photo is a circle, and search results sit on glass so the map still shows underneath.

Sharing a list now asks what should go with it. Your notes travel as before; your ratings and Been / Want / Favourite marks are each yours to include or leave out, one share at a time. Marks someone shares with you are shown as theirs and never written onto your own places.

iCloud backup now carries what it used to leave behind: your settings and profile, the places and lists you are watching, your country-visit history, and the photos you have added.

Export lets you choose what to include rather than always writing everything.

Fixed: Alerts could say "Off" in Settings while a list was genuinely being watched, and a long description in a list left a block of empty space beside it.

### 1.15.0 — 2026-08-21

Thousands more places now show a real photograph — 4,607 of them, including Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, the Statue of Liberty and Central Park. Photographs appear on the map itself, not only in lists.

Select several places inside a list and copy, move or remove them in one go.

Correcting a place's type is faster: the picker filters as you type, and the change now shows everywhere immediately.

Place Alerts can tell you when you are near somewhere on a list you watch, and ask afterwards whether you were there — answerable straight from the lock screen.

Plus fixes to zooming, search, and the list you create when you first set up the app.
