## What is PinningLab?

Calculate, validate, visualize, and document lock-cylinder pin stacks — fully offline, on your bench.

PinningLab is a working tool for licensed locksmiths, institutional locksmiths, door-hardware technicians, and supervised apprentices. Enter the key bittings you already possess, pick the exact cylinder profile, and get a validated chamber-by-chamber pin chart with a visual cross-section of every stack.

CALCULATE
• SFIC A2 pinning with control shear line, build-up pins, and total-stack rule
• Conventional cylinders: single key, keyed-alike, and explicit multi-key charts
• 5, 6, or 7 chambers with fast spreadsheet-style entry and paste support
• Define your own conventional profiles, verified by your own test fixture

VALIDATE
• Depth range, MACS, control collisions, and pin-kit checks before you load pins
• Blocking errors point at the exact chamber — nothing is rounded or substituted
• Every bundled profile cites its manufacturer source document, revision, and pages, visible in the app

DOCUMENT
• Chamber tables, visual pin-stack diagrams, and a complete pin tally
• Job worksheets as PDF or CSV, with an optional redacted mode

PinningLab calculates from bittings you already have for locks you are authorized to service. It does not decode keys from photos, generate key combinations or master-key systems, or teach bypass techniques. Verify every chart against the current manufacturer procedure before loading a core.
