### 4/5 — Missing Important Rule

*2025-09-28, version 26.0.3*

I’ve tried a lot of Pinochle apps and this is the best one by far. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because it doesn’t have an option for the most basic role of Pinochle. Every Pinochle game I’ve ever played anywhere has required a team to get 20 pointers in order to score, whether you win the bid or not. This is an addition to the requirement to have 20 meld. This is not an option in this app. Without it, it’s nearly impossible to come back when you’re behind. Not to mention, this is a staple rule in Pinochle. Please add a button to require 20 pointers in order to score.

### 4/5 — Well done, Fishdog!

*2024-10-03, version 9.0.1*

This game has plenty of options to play with many different styles of pinochle. I’m quite impressed with the work that went into it and the fun of playing. I no longer willing to be a prisoner to the advertising in other games, and have deleted them all, happy to pay three or four dollars for the relaxation of a better game app.
I’m hoping that some point there will be a game that can be played online with live opponents, again without advertising.
I think those people will just love this game.

### 4/5 — Two suggestions

*2024-05-17, version 8.9.0*

Show meld for ALL players instead of showing meld one player at a time.

Reconsider meld bids. In my world, a jump of two points = a meld bid of 20, jump of three points shows a meld bid of 30, etc. In this app, apparently a jump bid just means *some* meld. Even just 10.

### 5/5 — Best Pinocle Game

*2022-07-13, version 8.5.0*

This game is good with a few caveats. There is no building strategy. (i.e. your partner will not try to build 4 of a kind during card swap among others). Once you get used to the AI strategy you will do very well. Very entertaining.

### 5/5 — Love double pinocl

*2022-06-23, version 8.2.0*

I play it at any appointments where I have to wait!

### 5/5 — Pinocle For my Late Mentor/Friend Motte

*2022-05-07, version 8.2.0*

Super program with competitive on-site bidding and strategy! Great Airborne!

### 5/5 — Close to a real pinochle game

*2022-03-13, version 8.2.0*

Terrific game. Beautifully designed. Lots of options. Lovelyfont.

### 5/5 — Thank goodness for this APP

*2021-12-21, version 8.2.0*

This by far is the best APP game I’ve ever downloaded. It has absolutely kept me from going crazy with all these COVID-19 lockdowns. I spend hours playing it.

### 5/5 — The home team

*2021-11-27, version 8.2.0*

Home team cannot win at all almost always the other team knows what each other has while the home team has no clue.

### 3/5 — Pinochle App

*2021-06-03, version 8.0.2*

Good app, however; recommended tips to improve it are for the most part ignored.

### 5/5 — Pinochle

*2021-05-28, version 8.0.2*

Excellent program

### 5/5 — Great but

*2021-02-05, version 7.8.1*

Needs to allow players ability to not play bosses when they want to. After east and west have play north and south hold the bosses and need option to get trumped out so there bosses don’t get trumped.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Partner passes 9s!!!

*2024-10-14, version 9.0.1*

Every single time. Partner has a jack of diamonds or queen of spades, yet passes an ace and 3 9s. How hard is it to fix this. Come on!

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2022-04-09, version 8.2.0*

This game is terrible! Your partner passes their 2 trump cards, one of which is a nine and 2 more random nines. WTH! Also, your partner (north) doesn’t continue to bid when they’re holding a run????? The frustration is too much!

### 1/5 — This game doesn’t know how to bid.

*2021-12-26, version 8.2.0*

The game plays okay, but cannot bid.

### 1/5 — Not enough cards

*2017-09-06, version 5.4.1*

This game is getting worst every week

### 2/5 — decent but flawed

*2025-11-02, version 26.0.4*

so many things to object. the north partner plays with no strategic sense—our pair can be less than 10 points from the win with a 100+ point lead and still make a reach bid. crazy. the bidding from partner is too fixated on trump marriages and especially on getting a double pinochle—i have missed 100 aces while partner passed a flyer on a double pinochle. also partner is too heavily disposed against bidding against the player. it feels like the north partner won’t bid to 33 even when holding a complete run in the hand. there’s more. game is decent as a whole but you will learn many bad habits playing this version.

### 2/5 — Frustration

*2023-04-14, version 8.8.2*

I play this game often. I'm a single deck player. The meld is ridiculous. Dummy opposing team seem to get all large meld hand. 45 meld, 27 meld. Ridiculous!!! Opponent always has the aces. My dummy partner doesn't bid correctly and how bout an update with the option of NO auction bid? Takes all the fun out of the game. It's hard enough to get a run, then they get 26 meld. Fix this game and make it fair. How this gets on the update is crazy. Find out who did that, and who approved it, fire them both. I give 2 stars just cause I love pinochle. 2 stars is pushing it for me. Get people who really know how to play the game to redesign it.
Offer no no action bid.

### 2/5 — Programming irritations

*2021-02-25, version 7.8.1*

Generally I like this app, but there’s no provision for strategically using tens and kings when they’re the high card. Instead of holding them so they can take a trick, the app ALWAYS uses them as schmears. It’s very irritating to lose a hand or even a game because a high card was wasted on schmearing.

### 2/5 — Nice game but don’t expect to win

*2020-10-13, version 7.6.2*

The game is well laid out with plenty of configurations and options for making it the version you are use to playing.

But don’t expect to win very often. The reason: your system managed partner does not use the same algorithms for bidding or playing tricks that your competitors use. This can be extremely frustrating some times. It is no where near as aggressive at bidding or calculating when playing tricks than the competing team. and often your partner will make plays that no experienced player would make.

So play the game is fine for fun if you don’t mind loosing most of the time and don’t consider it reflective or practice for a real game.

### 3/5 — Better than nothing

*2025-05-04, version 9.2.1*

The user interface is very good but the cards do not seem to be randomly dealt.

### 3/5 — Nuck

*2023-06-25, version 8.8.2*

Whoever wrote this program can’t play a lick of Nuck.

### 5/5 — Pinochle

*2026-07-30, version 26.0.4*

I love this game. Play it everyday!!!

### 5/5 — Leisure time fun!

*2026-05-01, version 26.0.4*

This game has many options and is so much fun to play! For anyone who loves pinochle, this is your app!!

### 5/5 — Good pinochle app

*2025-12-26, version 26.0.4*

Auto turns on Game Center which I have set to be OFF every time I turn the game on. Also- in large print the trump suit icon is so large that it covers the card of the bid taker each play so I have to guess what they played. Needs to be fixed! Could be placed under the players name instead. I paid for no ads- Game Center turning on even when I went into settings to disable it is very frustrating.

### 5/5 — Why

*2025-09-18, version 26.0.0*

Could have let the bar on top just had to add extra step

### 5/5 — Pinochle

*2023-07-27, version 8.8.2*

Very good version of the game with lots of customization features. My only complaint is that the game is very pessimistic about how many tricks you can take. For example: say you need 20 tricks to save your meld and the app says you might take 17. More times than not I’ll end up taking high 20’s or even 30 or more. This part of the app need some work.

### 5/5 — Close to a real pinochle game

*2023-07-16, version 8.8.2*

Terrific game. Beautifully designed. Lots of options. Lovely font

### 5/5 — Fun

*2023-07-02, version 8.8.2*

I’ve just learned how to play and this is amazing way to enhance my game. Love it!!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2023-02-19, version 8.8.2*

Is there a way to play online? I really enjoy your App and it allows me to keep playing my favorite game.
It is extremely difficult to find people that know how to play double deck pinochle in my area.
Keep up the great App ❣️

### 5/5 — Pinochle

*2023-01-18, version 8.8.2*

Just love this game. Hardly anyone plays anymore. So now I can Play all the time! And no ads !!

### 5/5 — Pinnacle

*2022-11-05, version 8.8.0*
