PinRoute has a great “discover” mode showing interesting trails by others (and even a Challenge mode) but my real need was to record my own trail walks so I wouldn’t get lost. On the downside, the interface could be improved. When recording a route, you have to DRAG the pause/stop button which made it difficult when using a single hand. Getting out of certain dialogs is tricky as well as there is no X in the corner where you would expect one - the “go back” option is often hidden by scrolling. The Privacy policy is in spanish which is weird because everything else in the interface is in English. But the option to “follow” your existing trails as well as identify key points along the trail (with pictures) is awesome. You can identify the type of landmark as well, whether it be a building, cross path and more. It also tracks your speed so you can identify how long a given trail will take depending on the time.
