## What is Pinyin?

Type or paste Chinese and read it straight away: the pinyin appears above every character, with the correct tone marks. A sentence from a chat, a line from a textbook, a word you just met — paste it in and read it.

WHAT IT DOES
- Type or paste Chinese — a word, a sentence or a whole page — and the pinyin appears above every character
- Correct tone marks throughout (nǐ, hǎo, xiè), so you can say it, not just recognize it
- Tap any character to enlarge it, so small print stays readable
- A camera is there when you want it: photograph a textbook page, a menu or a label to bring the characters in, see the pinyin over the picture, and save the page to read again later

No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking. Everything runs on your device — your text and your photos never leave your phone.

Available in 32 languages, and you can choose which one in Settings, whatever your phone is set to.

WHAT COSTS WHAT
Typing, pasting and reading pinyin are free and unlimited, forever. The camera comes with 30 free scans; after that one small one-time purchase unlocks unlimited scanning, pinyin over the picture and saved pages. No subscription.
