The app is very simple. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t work, even for an IT guy *2025-12-21, version 4.8.4* Most apps have some sort of work-around but this app is full of dead-ends. Right off the bat you’re forced to use the “Wizard” to connect to your unit rather than using your own BT settings. The documentation and “Help” sections have poorly-translated, bad grammar that makes you confident developers handed the user interface off to someone just as detached from customer satisfaction. The first thing that pops up: “Check your main unit’s firmware version and updated it to ensure that you have the latest version.” Roger that, I’ll “updated” it. The head unit in my car works fine without this app. Installation was out of curiosity. Follow link to their website and there’s no firmware. Just says page not found. Even when you use their search function. It’s not found. I bought the DEH-S31BT so I could use this app. Spent a lot of time trying to make the app work. Even though the radio is listed as being compatible, the app won’t connect. Bluetooth connects and works fine, but the app won’t. If you’re doing anything on your phone when this thing decides it’s time to connect, it takes over - phone calls, texting, camera, YouTube - it doesn’t care. The app is always wanting my permission, I want it to work in the background doing what ever it needs to do to connect to my device, leave me out of it every single time I reconnect!! It constantly puts warning messages up, constantly connects/ disconnects Bluetooth, seems to have no app memory so every time I get to my car I have to mess with setting to get it to connect.
