Pip is a private tarot journal. No account, no ads, no subscription, no AI readings, nothing you write ever leaves your phone. Log a draw in under a minute: pick the spread, tap the cards, note what you saw. Pip keeps the record — with the moon phase noted automatically — and your patterns surface on their own. THE FULL 1909 DECK, ILLUSTRATED All 78 Rider–Waite–Smith plates in their original color, drawn by Pamela Colman Smith in 1909. Cards you've drawn print in full color in your specimen book; cards you haven't stay uninked until they cross your table. Reversed cards appear the way they land, upside down. As you type a tag, Pip now suggests the ones you have used before, and you can see all of your tags in one place. Thanks to a reader who asked for exactly this. ### 1.4 — 2026-08-16 Two user-facing changes in Pip 1.4.0: saved spreads and the keyboard fixes. You can save a spread now, with a name and what each position means. Your own spread then labels its cards the way the three-card and Celtic cross ones do, instead of numbering them. Settings, then Manage spreads. Saved spreads show up in the picker when you log a draw, alongside the standard ones. Naming positions never limits a draw. Draw four cards against five positions, or six, and the extras just number themselves. Renaming or deleting a spread leaves your past draws alone. Every text field now has a way to dismiss the keyboard, including the reflection and the deck editor. ### 1.3 — 2026-08-08 Back up with iCloud, if you want it. It's off by default and your journal stays on your phone either way. Turn it on in Settings and your draws survive losing the phone. The card book learned to answer questions. Search by name: type "cups" and the whole suit turns up. ### 1.2 — 2026-07-26 You asked and I listened :) Pip 1.2 comes from your requests. Every entry now shows the time of your draw, with a morning, afternoon, evening, or night marker. The journal can filter by them: see just your night draws, or your mornings. Export your journal as Markdown, covering this week, this month, or everything. New to the cards? Every card page now has Search the Web, which opens a search for that card's meaning. Also: the Rate Pip button now actually opens the App Store (sorry about that), delete confirmations are clearer, Random draw is always within reach in the journal, and the largest text sizes read properly. Free, no account, nothing leaves your phone. That doesn't change. ### 1.1 — 2026-07-24 Pip can now draw for you. THE SITTING. When your deck isn't with you, draw in the app: tap the deck, the card flips, and the reading goes straight into your journal. Cards draw without replacement, and reversals are an honest fifty-fifty you can turn off. A quiet wisp of incense sets the room, and that can be turned off too. HOW TO. Tarot's little course now lives one tap from the index: what the cards are, how a draw works, how to sit with a card. The same primer greets you in onboarding. Also: the card back now matches the deck on the icon, and a small fix makes app updates gentler on your saved journal. Tonight's three fixes (the Delete button, the menu wording, the RANDOM DRAW label) are all part of the sitting feature itself, so they don't need their own bullets. While you're in ASC, the other two blocks from earlier still apply if you haven't pasted them yet: the review-notes paragraph about the optional in-app draw, and the DRAW ANYWHERE description section.
