## What is PipNoc?

PipNoc is a little pop-it game with a big itch to tap. Bubbles light up, you pop
them before the timer runs out, and one quick game somehow turns into ten.

Every day there's a Daily Challenge: one run, on the exact same board as everyone
else playing it that day, anywhere in the world. Finish it and you'll see where
you landed, then come back tomorrow and keep the streak alive. It takes about a
minute, and it's the part people stick around for.

Then there are three ways to play as long as you like.

Reaction is the classic one. Bubbles light up across the mat and you clear them
as fast as you can. Every round the next set comes a little quicker, chain your
pops together for a multiplier, and watch out for the red ones. A single miss
ends the run. See how far you get.

Duel is for two people on one phone. You take the left side, your friend takes
the right, and you both race to ten. There's a head start you can hand out if
one of you is quicker, and it stays fair right down to the last pop, so the
bragging rights are honestly earned.

Math turns the times tables into a game. A question like 7 x 8 pops up and you
tap the bubble with the answer. Get one wrong and the correct answer swells up
big so it sticks in your head, then you carry right on. It's the rare kind of
practice kids actually ask to do.

A few things I cared about while making it: pops that feel good, with sound and
a little haptic buzz. A quiet, near-black look with monospaced type, so nothing
on screen competes with the bubbles. Proper landscape play built for two thumbs.
High-score boards for every mode, and Game Center leaderboards if you want the
world. You can pause any time, and it pauses itself if something interrupts you.
And when a run goes well you can pass it on in a tap, as a picture or as a line
of text your friends can open straight into the game.

On privacy, PipNoc keeps to itself. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your
scores live on your device. Game Center is optional: switch it on for
leaderboards and achievements, and only those scores are shared, handled by
Apple. Nothing else is collected.

A quick daily run, a duel with a friend, or a sneaky bit of multiplication
practice. However you play it, just tap.

Pop it. Light it. Beat it.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-08-25

Finish the Daily Challenge and you'll now see exactly where you placed in the
world. Pass it on as a quick line of text, streak and all, with a tap-to-play
link for whoever you're bragging to.

Also in this update:
• One run a day really is one run: the Daily counts your attempt the moment
you start it, and it now rolls over at the same instant everywhere, so the
board really is the same for everyone.
• A word of guidance on your first run, and a heads-up the first time a red
  bubble turns up.
• Switches for haptics and the daily reminder in the About screen.
• Full VoiceOver labels on the bubbles, and every animation now respects
  Reduce Motion.
• A calmer start screen: the Daily card is now the one place your challenge
lives, and it's the button that starts it.
• Leaderboards are easier to find, even before you sign in to Game Center.
• Fixed a white flash on launch and fixed the daily reminder
Thanks for playing.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-12

The menu now leads with your Daily Challenge: your streak, today's top score,
and where you rank in the world.

Also in this update:
• Share your result as a quick line of text — with a tap-to-play link — so
friends can jump straight into the same challenge.
• An optional daily reminder to keep your streak alive.
• Signed in to Game Center? Your Game Center name is used everywhere now, so
  there's nothing extra to type.
• Leaderboards got their own artwork.
• A fresh little launch animation with a softer opening pop.
• Fixed the menu getting slightly cut off on smaller iPhones.
Thanks for playing.

### 1.1 — 2026-07-31

The Daily Challenge is here! One run a day, the same board for everyone, and a
streak to keep alive.

Also in this update:
• Game Center: leaderboards and achievements, with your daily streak front and
  centre. Totally optional.
• Combos in Reaction: chain your pops fast for 2x, 3x and 5x scores, with a
  little rising ping each time.
• Watch out for the red bubbles. Tap those and it's over.
• Duel got smarter: give the younger player a head start, or play best of 3 or 5.
• A fresh app icon (the classic pink look is still there under About if you miss it).
• Colour-blind friendly Duel: each side now has its own shape, not just a colour.

Have fun, and thanks for playing.
