## What is Pippin?

Starting solids brings a lot to remember: what to serve, how to prepare it, what your baby tried, and how they responded.

Pippin is a baby food tracker that brings the whole food journey into one organized place. Use it for baby-led weaning (BLW), spoon feeding, purees, or a mix. Plan meals, track first foods, learn about ingredients, and keep every caregiver up to date.

YOUR BABY'S FOOD JOURNEY
See every new food and milestone in a visual timeline. Follow your baby's progress from first tastes to family meals, unlock achievements, and keep a separate history for each child.

A MEAL TRACKER BUILT FOR REAL LIFE
• Log multiple foods and recipes in one meal
• Organize breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner
• Record how well your baby accepted each item
• Add notes and photos
• Mark a reaction and the foods you suspect
• Search your feeding log by food, recipe, or note

Review everything in a familiar calendar. Switch between the agenda, month view, and a detailed week view that groups foods and recipes into complete meals.

FOOD GUIDANCE FOR EVERY STAGE
Explore foods and learn when and how to introduce them. Age-based photos show preparation and cutting ideas as your baby grows. Each food can include:

• Allergen and choking information
• Nutrition, vitamins, and minerals
• Storage tips
• Common questions
• Sources and references behind the guidance

Pippin supports traditional weaning, baby-led weaning, and the approach that works for your family.

RECIPES AND SHOPPING LISTS
Browse practical baby food recipes with step-by-step photos that show the texture and the size of the pieces, or create your own with a photo, ingredients, quantities, and steps. Add a photo to any step of your own recipes too. Log a full recipe in one tap and still keep each food connected to your baby's history.

Build a shopping list inside Pippin, add foods and recipe ingredients, check off what you bought, and keep meal planning close to the tracker.

FOOD SENSITIVITIES AND REACTIONS
Keep an organized record of food sensitivities, symptoms, severity, dates, and notes. Pippin helps you document what happened without trying to diagnose an allergy or intolerance.

Create PDF reports of foods introduced or the daily feeding log to share with a pediatrician or another caregiver.

MADE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Invite a partner, grandparent, nanny, or other caregiver so everyone can follow the same food history. Add multiple babies, switch profiles when needed, and use dark mode for early mornings or late-night planning.

From the first bite onward, Pippin helps you remember what happened and decide what comes next.

Some features require Pippin Pro. Educational information does not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.3.0 — 2026-08-26

Finding foods and recipes just got easier.

Search now understands accents, partial names, and how you actually type — so the right food or recipe rises to the top, in every language. Checklist search ranks better too.

Catalog recipes also show ingredient names in your language, not only English. Shopping lists and meal logs follow along.

Plus a fix so doctor PDF reports close cleanly when you’re done. Thank you for feeding with us.

### 2.2.0 — 2026-08-01

Recipes now show you every step.

Each preparation step can carry its own photo, so you can see the texture, the size of the pieces, and how it should look before you serve it. You can add photos to the steps of your own recipes too.

Doctor reports were rebuilt with a cleaner layout, and days now follow your time zone, so late-night meals land on the right date.

Pippin also opens faster, and the welcome tour now shows the app in motion instead of describing it.

Plus polish across the app. Thank you for feeding with us.

### 2.1.1 — 2026-07-23

What’s new in this update:

Late-evening meals in the week calendar no longer hide under the add button — you can scroll them fully into view and tap them again.

Plus a few small calendar and UI polish fixes. Thank you for feeding with us.

### 2.1.0 — 2026-07-19

Meals just got a whole lot smarter.

Log several foods and recipes in one meal, choose breakfast, lunch, snack, or dinner, and rate each item. When something doesn’t sit right, mark the foods you suspect — or the whole meal if you’re not sure.

Create your own recipes with photos, ingredients, and steps, then log them in one tap. Recipes now have their own tab, with Guides right beside them.

The calendar diary was redesigned too: meals group together, you can search by food, recipe, or note, jump to Latest, and pinch to zoom the week view.

Baby profile moved off the tab bar — tap your baby’s photo on Home (or open it from Settings). Food history shows when a food was served inside a recipe, and doctor exports group reactions by meal.

Plus small fixes and polish. Thank you for feeding with us.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-07-07

Finding foods just got easier.

Search now understands the names parents actually use: "garbanzo" finds Chickpeas and "aubergine" finds Eggplant. Small typos are fine too. This works in food search, the checklist, and the shopping list.

We also fixed meal times that could show a few hours off. Your history now appears in your local time, calendar days line up correctly, and times are written the way your language writes them.

New recipes are easier to spot too: they now show the same New badge as guides, and recently published recipes are surfaced higher in the list.

Plus small fixes and improvements. Thank you for all the suggestions you send us.
