Having a teaching background this is a terrific app. However it works sometimes and other times it asks for 4 words and after we do them it keeps asking for more. It is hard to make 4 more words whilst the coconuts are rising to the top of the screen with the instructions covering the letters. Then it seems to just get stuck on some pages and we can't get past that stage even if we have it correct. Perhaps this is a bug that needs to be looked at? Overall would love more pirate apps! I love the concept and the graphics. Would be great if there was more to it, more levels for example or if puzzles were different. Needs same alterations to the puzzles for real replay value, but OK for little ones to play once. She plays it again and again even though she mastered it after the 1st time. We run it on an iPad and have no problems at all. It runs perfectly. I wish the Education Services will develop more apps. Game is very short - more levels or more apps would be fantastic. ### 5/5 — Definite buy... *2010-11-26, version 0* I am absolutely amazed with this app. It combines word composition/phonics, measurement, time, pattern recognition, shape/puzzles, sequential order, temperature, following instruction and still completely interesting for my 4 and 5 year old boys. Given my kids age, I need to be somewhat involved but a child a year or so older would work through it independently. Each game lasts about 10 min and the app was free. But, after going through the game with the boys, I would be willing to pay $5. I really hope the developer go back and mix up alarm time, the statue patterns, weight, plan, statue puzzle, etc. Not a disappointment. ### 4/5 — Great... This is the most popular for all of them. 8 great challenges that they work through and they have no idea that they are working or targeting cvc words, maths or ordering. A child learning how to write three-letter words then, always defaults to the tried and true because the letters on the coconuts never change. Because of this, my kid played it all of 3 times and then lost interest.
