## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2026-05-25*

App does not save info as you go I hate it every time I have to use it

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-10-30, version 2.17.1*

I’d be willing to pay twice as much every track day just to avoid using this garbage app

### 1/5 — Purchase

*2025-10-25*

Cold not add team members waiting for text code did not receive

### 1/5 — Still room for improvement

*2025-05-21*

It’s still not a straight forward process , could and should be easier

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2024-06-10*

Keep requesting update even though it’s already updated. Reinstalling doesn’t help either

### 1/5 — Extremely confusing…..would rather wait in a long line

*2024-01-04*

I never did register for the event. It wouldn’t let me.

### 1/5 — Pit Pay Refund be aware

*2021-10-21*

Event was cancelled. Got a refund on my pass except for the pit pay transaction fee. That is ridiculous. Don’t use this app and support this business. Just pay at the track.

Their response is garbage. Don’t use the app. Just pay when you get there.

**Developer response:** We are so sorry that your event was canceled. Unfortunately Outdoor events, as well as events over the last 18 months during the pandemic, have a bit of uncertainty.

Event promoters have the option to honor your pass for the rescheduled date, honor your pass for a comparable event (like next week’s event) or provide a full refund minus transaction fees.

As with all digital payment methods, those fees are not refunded by the banks and card companies. We wish we could change that!

Pit Pay provides a convenient experience when you get to the event. If weather looks questionable, one option would be to wait until you get to the event and purchase in the App. You would still get the same benefit as purchasing days in advance.

Again, sorry about the cancellation of your event.

### 1/5 — This app is very confusing!

*2021-07-09*

I found this app difficult to use. All I wanted was to preorder tickets for a race and I was asked to supply my drivers license, input my credit card and finally set up a “team” to be able to order my wife a pit pass. Then when I went to order tickets I finally was told the ticket was $30, while the website for the track said $15. I understand a usage fee, but DOUBLE? I’m not a racing fanatic and I feel no need to set up a team just to order tickets, and less need to pay twice the price for a ticket. I find thus a huge turn off!
I have deleted this app and will buy any tickets I want at the gate.

**Developer response:** We're sorry that you found the app confusing. Pit Pay makes buying a pit pass easier than the traditional wait in slow lines to pay for your pass and sign the waiver and release agreements required by motorsports insurance companies.

ID and Age verification is necessary to satisfy the promoter’s insurance requirements.

Pit Pay transaction fees are very reasonable and a $15.00 transaction would not have totaled $30.00 at checkout.

The promoters provide the pricing for the events in the app, and that pricing aligns with their website, and advertising of the event.

Hopefully the time saved in line makes for a more convenient experience at the track, justifying the small transaction fee for the Pit Pay App.

We appreciate your feedback, and wish your experience with the Pit Pay App would have been a better one.

### 1/5 — $5 service fee? Gimme a break

*2020-05-29*

Is this the new Ticketmaster? I can understand some kind of fee, but $5 every time will add up over a single season. Save your money and just use cash at the track.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. We hear you and we've actually been hard at work renegotiating with our vendors, allowing us to decrease our transaction fees. With our NEW LOWER FEE structure, you'll SAVE at least $1 on each pit pass transaction! Providing our in-app payment and waiver signing technology does come at a cost, so while we won't be able to eliminate our transaction fees, hopefully you'll feel like it's worth a small fee for the added convenience and time-savings at the track!

### 1/5 — I.D Scanner thinks I’m a minor?

*2020-02-27*

North Carolina ID’s have the birthdate at the bottom left of the license. I am 23 years old and the app’s scanner keeps telling me I’m a minor. So much for being able to use the app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We're so sorry you encountered an issue and were unable to get into our app, but this review helped us identify an issue we were having with a specific type of N.C. driver's license. This should be fixed in the newest version, so please update your app and give it a try again. If you don't mind, let us know if it worked by sending an email to support@pitpay.com. We'll try to make it worth your while to have helped us test our fix!

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Dirt Racing

*2026-03-28*

Best way to skip the line and walk into the Track!

### 5/5 — A bit hard to navigate

*2023-05-18*

I found the app a bit hard to navigate at first but then figured it out

### 5/5 — Fast and Simple

*2023-03-09*

I’m amazed at how simple and easy the app is to use compared to similar services. This app saves me time at the track so I am to get to do what I love faster. Everything I need to sign up for a race is within the app and allows me to have the most recent information.

I am able to purchase pit passes for my entire team and send them the pass instead of waiting for them to arrive. The fees are so much cheaper then other ticket sites that I have purchased passes on so huge bonus! If your track doesn’t have this I would suggest looking into it.

### 5/5 — Inex license

*2023-01-06*

Very easy and fast.

### 3/5 — High service charge

*2025-03-28*

$10.70 service charge?!?!?

### 3/5 — Cash is King

*2023-04-05*

Cash is King! I am forced to use this service that elevates my overall cost of racing. My experience, these apps allow promoters to get lazy and switch the blame of issues to the app.

### 2/5 — Confusing and Repetitive

*2026-08-01*

This whole app is really confusing. I’m trying to register for an associate INEX membership and register my son as a minor and it’s sent me through an endless doom loop where I keep doing the same thing over and over again. Plus, it disallows autofill so I have to manually enter all my info each time through the doom loop.

### 2/5 — Difficult

*2025-05-22*

Couldn’t figure out how to add crew, it never sent a text after trying 6 times.

### 2/5 — Buying multiple tickets

*2024-07-12*

Why can’t I just buy tickets for my whole family without having to create an account for every more? The app won’t even recognize my ID to create an account. I’d rather stand in line then try to navigate this app.
