This app is amazing to find the key and pitch when you sing or play a tune, however recently every time I open the app, it makes a crackling noise and it’s pretty loud, which I assume is a glitch as it only started recently. If this could please be fixed that would be great!

I have used this app and it is great for one reason—the size of the visual feedback. When I work with singers who are supposedly “tone deaf “ an abstract line moving up and down is often not helpful to provide immediate feedback. Setting the response to letters with octave numbers does the trick! The visual is large enough that their are enough “cognitive” resources to adjust pitch up or down and using the changes in the visual responses (e.g. A3 to Aflat 3) to learn pitch manipulation.

I got this app to try and figure out exact notes for a piano part in a song. Even when the piano part is isolated and I have silenced every other source of sound, the app was too unreliable in telling me what piano notes were being played.

This is a good app but it could do with one thing: the actual pitches of the notes you’re trying to tune in Hz (it just shows the note names). If it has this, you would know how close you are to the pitch, rather than just vaguely accurate.

V5版，第一次打开程序能用，按主屏按钮之后再进入就定屏了，试了几台机ios10.31的都一样！太失望了，花了钱还不如人家不花钱的老版本！

Would be a great app except it doesn't block the screen saver so after a minute of use (depending on your screen settings) you get a black screen. Renders the app useless. Hopefully an update will fix this.

As a non pro musician & instrument owner, this app does work to tell you exactly what pitch or note is sung or played & performs that duty well!  I wish there were more options like, recording a longer stream of notes. I can use it as is for many things like tuning guitar & violin, testing the trueness of my singing tho. It's worth 2 bucks!

You open the app, there's a picture of a piano, the keys are all lighting up, back-and-forth very quickly there's no sound. When you talk the pitch detector goes up and down but there are no instructions on how to use this app. Am I supposed to play the radio and sing along with it? I don't understand. right now I feel like I wasted 2 dollars

I though this app would include a basic piano so I could hit a note and try to match it with my voice and see if I was above or below the note. This doesn’t seem hard. Please include that in the next update?

It's a great tool and works well for my needs, thank you very much! 

(But could you please-please make it so it disables screen auto lock while running? I know I can disable it in the settings globally, but doing it for this one app is annoying, and the app feels like a thing that is made for hands free approach)

Hi. I’ve been enjoying this app just to test out the notes my singing bowls were. 
Nowhere on the app does it mention a $2.99 fee being charged after a week. Is this an ongoing payment or just a one off?  
I don’t mind but it wasn’t stipulated anywhere, and will not be continuing with app if this is a subscription.

I love this app! I always come back to it! I use it for testing my range - and my friends’ ranges - seeing how low and how high I can go - and for producing music. If I have a note in my head, I sing it, find the name of the note (cuz I don’t have perfect pitch but I can come up with melodies) and then play it on the virtual piano or synth! Thanks for creating this

This works well on my iPhone SE. I've tested it with an online frequency generator from 55 Hz to 7 kHz and it seems accurate to a fraction of a percent.

It responds to quiet as well as loud sounds. The main display of the note value is easy to read, while the extra information such as frequency in Hz is useful. The oscilloscope display is neat, too.

There's just the right amount of damping, so the note displayed doesn't jump around too much even if the actual pitch is slightly unstable, as may happen if you use it for singing. For the same reason, I’d imagine it’s of more use for identifying notes than for training you to pitch your voice perfectly or tune a guitar. Since I’m no musician, however, you should take that with a pinch of salt.

Pretty cool! Simple, but effective. If I was going to add anything it would be some sort of indicator to show that your tone is weakening to help with breath support.
