## What is Pitch Please?

Six music practice tools, one iPhone app. Tune your instrument, follow your vocal pitch, keep time, read music, play reference notes, and warm up your voice with Pitch Please.

All six tools are free to use with ads. No account required. An optional monthly subscription or one-time lifetime purchase removes ads across the app.

TUNE YOUR INSTRUMENT
See whether each note is flat, sharp, or in tune. Choose string targets for guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, violin, viola, cello, and double bass, or use the chromatic tuner. Explore alternate tunings, save your own, and adjust the reference pitch and tuning tolerance.

SEE THE NOTES YOU SING
Follow your voice on a live pitch graph. See which notes you reach and review the range covered during your session. Use piano reference tones to find a starting note and practice matching pitch.

KEEP A STEADY BEAT
Tap in your tempo, choose a time signature, and practice with the metronome. Choose your beat sound and use haptic feedback to feel the pulse.

PRACTICE READING MUSIC
Build note recognition with treble and bass clef drills. Add accidentals when you are ready for more variety.

HEAR A REFERENCE NOTE
Play piano tones for pitch matching, octave checks, or a starting note before you sing or play.

WARM UP YOUR VOICE
Follow scales and arpeggios with guided reference tones. Keep warmups, pitch feedback, and your metronome together in one practice toolkit.

Microphone access is used for tuning and vocal pitch detection. Audio processing happens on your device.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-09-24

A cleaner, calmer Pitch Please.

- A fresh design across every tool: less clutter, a new typeface, and one colour per tool.
- The metronome tempo is now the dial: drag the number up or down.
- Notes moves on by itself after a right answer and keeps your streak front and centre.
- Reference Tone now spans a full 88-key keyboard.
- Warmups play straight from the list, with each note lighting up as it sounds.

### 1.9 — 2026-09-24

A clearer tuner at a glance.

- The pitch graph fills more of the screen, with the note and tuning offset centered over it.
- The pitch trail ends in a single dot for a cleaner current-pitch indicator.
- Audio input resumes more reliably after interruptions, and playback recovers cleanly if an audio engine cannot start.

### 1.8 — 2026-09-21

A sleeker, faster Pitch Please.

- The tuner follows your pitch in real time, and its needle and trail glide smoothly at up to 120 fps on ProMotion displays.
- Cleaner screens with native controls and fewer boxes inside boxes.
- A steadier metronome that keeps time on the audio clock, with a smoother tempo dial.
- The in-tune chime and haptics now work while the tuner listens, and the readout no longer flickers at the edge of in tune.
- Reference tones start instantly without clicks and keep playing through headphones and AirPods.
- Favoriting a tuning no longer resets your tuning progress.
- Note reading shows the right and wrong keys after every answer.

### 1.7 — 2026-09-20

A cleaner workspace for everyday music practice.

- Simpler layouts, clearer controls, and improved support for larger text.
- Open your practice tools without waiting for store or ad services to load.
- More reliable microphone and warmup playback when switching tools.
- Clearer metronome controls and audio error messages.
- Share Pitch Please, write a review, or contact support from Settings.

### 1.6 — 2026-09-20

Tuning feels faster and follows note changes more reliably.

- Faster pitch updates with stable low-note and bass detection.
- Improved octave accuracy and smoother cents readings.
- Fixed sustained notes disappearing and silent notes being marked as tuned.
- Improved microphone reconnection and pause/resume behavior.
