### 5/5 — Brilliant learning tool

*2014-11-22, version 1.1*

This is wonderful for beginners and above. The ability to slow the tracks down, to isolate one or more of the instruments or adjust the mix, and the great selection of rhythms makes it a superb way to learn and practice. The best djembe learning tool I have ever found.

### 5/5 — Great app!!!

*2014-06-06, version 1.0*

Great functionality, great sounds, lots of rythms. Excellent to practice new rythms, solos or another instrument (e.g. balafon). Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Awesome app, great features.

*2014-06-05, version 1.0*

I've recommended this app to all the guys and galls I drum with, it was fun comparing parts to ones we were taught by different teachers. Our ensemble will be adding the third djembe from fanga to our mix! Awesome app with awesome features, I want more!

### 5/5 — Owner Shaw Percussion

*2014-04-03, version 0.9*

I've been playing drums for 40 years hand drums for 20 and teaching djembe about 10. This app is a great resourse and alot of fun to play with. It has the best sound quality of any djembe app I have heard to date. Good work!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No sound

*2025-06-30, version 2.0.3*

Is there not supposed to be sound? Can’t find any instructions.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-06-11, version 2.0.3*

Won’t play the sequences

### 1/5 — Crashes after turning iPad back on

*2020-02-05, version 2.0.3*

Seemed to work ok until I upgraded to iOS 13.3 (latest version) now I have to delete it and reload it from the cloud to get it to work again. Other than that it’s a great app and I would give it a 4 star. If it showed notation on another screen a 5.

### 1/5 — Updated version does not work on my iPhone X

*2018-08-07, version 2.0.2*

The new updated version will not work on my iPhoneX

### 1/5 — Piti piti pa

*2014-08-04, version 1.1*

J'ai fait l'achat de l'application. J'avais très hâte d'essayer. L'application ne s'ouvre pas. Déçue...

### 4/5 — Beautiful and easy

*2016-05-19, version 1.3*

It does everything I need in a simple, beautiful interface. The sounds are a little digital, but otherwise it's a great value and pleasure to use. I'd love to be able to write and notate my own rhythms in this interface.

### 4/5 — Brilliant app

*2014-05-19, version 1.0*

Cannot fault the quality of this app. Just a small point would be to have the facility to print the rhythms out. We'll worth 1.99.

### 5/5 — Medicine

*2024-09-08, version 2.0.3*

….To the Soul!

### 5/5 — App is great! But…

*2022-12-23, version 2.0.3*

The app works most of the time but if I close it and reopen it and stop a rhythm it glitches and nothing can be heard. Idk why it does this but I hope they fix it soon.

### 5/5 — This is dope

*2021-09-10, version 2.0.3*

This app is pretty good app.The music sounds a little bit more lively than some of the other apps.Only bug I see is that for some reason on the rhythm Konden, the break keeps repeating every 4 bars and does not allow the rhythm to play, other than that you have good app here. Please continue to improve and add more rhythms pleeeeeeeease

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good variety. Love metronome.

*2020-02-20, version 2.0.3*

Gust a beginner

### 5/5 — Best djembe app on the market

*2019-07-10, version 2.0.3*

The sounds are real samples so it sounds natural. You can change the speed and adjust a lot of settings to get exactly what you need to practice! Great tool for teachers too.

### 5/5 — Super bien fait!

*2018-08-02, version 2.0.2*

Super application, la nouvelle version est parfaite! Vraiment pratique pour pratiquer les rythmes.

### 5/5 — Wow!!

*2018-08-01, version 2.0.1*

I had not opened this app for a while I have all the drum apps for IOS.This 1 struck me as a little under par than the other and confusing with its construction and also not very appealing(Sorry, that is a factor when you switch from a $30 app to a $10 most of the time they are comparable and you are just buying a name).I saw the update and instead of just tapping, I thought maybe they added an instrument or rhythm but I opened and was Blown away. This is the best update of any app I have seen and I have over 400 iOS apps.I would pay $30 for this app now.The immediate coloring put me in a a wood fired studio with the Walls this deep colored red the Carpet a little,Everything with Black trim beautiful. The app is also so professional looking now and the workability of this app is now astounding. The new way to pick the instruments. The ability to have six drums written, 6rhythm moving at the same time or 2. The way the rhythm selector glides now is huge.It was difficult to move before.I am going to ask, since it seems you can alter an app at massive level if you could ever set it app so you can tap the rhythm on the screen. I have a difficult time keeping writings short. If you like any of this that I have written chop it up discard part of it Keep just a sentence.Thank You! WoW!

### 5/5 — Great app with lots of features

*2018-05-25, version 1.3*

Great for learning new rhythms or practising the one you (thought) you know. Or to play along if you don’t have a full or regular group to play with.

### 5/5 — Impressed

*2017-01-16, version 1.3*

This app was more than I expected. I'm a beginner and I loved how you are given the opportunity to take a fast paced and complex rhythm and single out different drums to hear the simpler patterns to use for practice.

### 5/5 — Great App for African Rhythms

*2016-09-04, version 1.3*

This is a great app for listening to different African rhythms. It includes tons of rhythms and some variations. All the parts can be individually turned on or off. You can change the speed and whether to emphasize the lead part, play all parts equally, or play parts on different sides (left and right). This is a excellent app for learning and practicing African rhythms and their various parts. I highly recommend it!
