## What is Pitip?

Tipflation is out of control. Pitip does the math you actually want: tip on the food, not on the tax and the mandatory service fee.

Point your camera at the check. The total, tax, and fees fill themselves in. Pick a percentage, split it, and you're done before the card comes back.

SCAN THE RECEIPT
Receipt scanning reads the total, tax, and fees straight off the paper — restaurant checks, bar tabs, coffee shop slips. It happens entirely on your phone. Nothing is uploaded and no photo is saved. Pitip shows you what it read and lets you fix it before anything is applied, because you're the one signing.

DON'T TIP ON THE FEES
Turn on "Tip before tax & fees" and the tip is figured on the subtotal. On an $86.75 check with $7.16 tax and a $3.00 service fee, a 20% tip is $15.32 — not $17.35. Tip generously on the food. Skip tipping the county and the card reader.

SPLIT TO THE PENNY
Up to 20 people. When a bill doesn't divide evenly, Pitip shows exactly who covers the extra cent: $100 at 18% across three people is $39.33, $39.33, and $39.34. The shares always add back up to the total, so nobody quietly eats the rounding.
