### 1/5 — ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND ONLY THE MONEY

*2026-07-30*

Downloaded , noticed they want you to pay monthly for a subscription TO TELL ME WHEN A BUS WILL ARRIVE ? PLEASE !! Immediately deleted. The cheapest membership is $30/month , a pure joke .

### 3/5 — Three Stars

*2026-07-08*

You have to pay for so much of it and sometimes the times are wrong on the times when the bus comes but otherwise it’s a good app, i use the free version because you have to pay if u want more routes and stuff and i don’t feel like doing that.

### 1/5 — Pay for the app?

*2026-03-19*

The transit app has become difficult to use with trying to catch a PRT vehicle so I figured PRT would have an app. They want to CHARGE for it. PRT is completely unreliable on the red line and 82. Buses and trains just don’t show up. Now they want to charge for their app to show “true” times since their schedules are meaningless. I’ve been riding these buses and trains for over 50 years. Service has never been worse!!! They want to charge for this app to use their service that we already pay for. RIDICULOUS!!! Get it together PRT and actually provide good reliable service to the Greater Pittsburgh area. You are missing the mark by a long shot!

### 1/5 — Complete trash

*2026-03-16*

This app forces a trial subscription down your throat despite my best efforts to avoid it, it can't do basic things like look up stations (just sits there loading forever), it can't differentiate between routes (for example it thinks there's a single 87 route; it's unaware it's split into 87M and 87S). It sends random information to my apple watch without me requesting it, it's deceitfully named to look as if it was the official (free) app, then it begs me to rate it after 2 minutes of using it. This for the low price of $90 or $8/month forever. Just utter garbage.

### 2/5 — Poor design and clear cash grab

*2026-01-28*

The app design is clunky especially with regards to where alerts are, there’s better apps for the same cost or less, additionally the name is too on the nose and makes people think this app is official from the transit agency when it clearly is NOT

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-01-18*

This is a scam app which is -not- the Pittsburgh transit authority application. stay away

### 1/5 — Late

*2025-10-10*

Buses are always late. Today 10/10/25 morning bus never showed from new Ken. Going inbound . Not I’m late for work. How does this happen. Bus times are skipped over doesn’t show it’s not just one bus it’s all. Maybe revamp the employees. Some skip people and don’t pick them up . And god forbid saying something then your kicked off . Do much better.

### 5/5 — New Update

*2025-09-30*

Something is wrong with the app. It doesn’t function like it used to after the update. Some of the buttons don’t work and you can’t zoom in or out on the map and select any bus stop to see the time schedule.

### 5/5 — Pat authorities

*2024-12-24*

Always on time and the drivers are very kind and polite

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the kind feedback - we appreciate it!

### 1/5 — NOT the official PRT app

*2024-12-10*

Don’t waste your time or money to download this app because it’s not official and not free. There’s a monthly subscription

Yinz: the official app is “Port Authority Ready2Ride “. It’s free. The only money you spend in that app will be your fare. No subscription fees.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2026.7.4 — 2026-05-27

To celebrate World Awareness Day this month, we've added an extra accessibility feature - custom fonts. From the Settings screen, you can now choose from several easy-to-read fonts that will be used throughout the app, including dyslexic-friendly typefaces.

New: Destination Filters

Just open up a station board, tap on Destination and choose the station you want to get to. You'll only see the services that stop there. Great for busy stations where you want to cut out the noise and focus on the lines that you care about.

Best of all, it works for bus stops as well: tap on Destination and choose the place you're going to, and we'll work out which bus lines from that stop go there.

Previously...

Saved Stops by Distance
Now just tap the toggle on the Saved tab to re-order your saved stops and stations by how close they are to you.

Service Alert Summaries
No more scrolling through long lists of alerts. The app now creates a short summary highlighting the most recent and important disruptions affecting your journey.

Better for your battery
We’ve made major optimisations to how the app uses location and background activity while you’re travelling. You can now tap GO with confidence that it won’t drain your battery.

Smarter Live Activities
Live Activities now end cleanly when you reach your destination. You’ll also see a quick summary of your trip when a Live Activity begins.

Home & Work improvements
You can now edit or remove your Home and Work locations again. Saved places and stations also sync automatically through iCloud, keeping all your devices up to date.

Powerful new Shortcuts support
You can now start live directions directly from Shortcuts or Siri. Instead of opening the app, directions begin instantly as a Live Activity - perfect for routines like starting your commute each morning.

The app also remembers your preferred routes. If a familiar journey is available, it will be selected automatically. Otherwise, just choose a route once and we’ll remember it for next time.

Clearer train departure boards
Train times are now easier to read in both the app and widgets, so you can find what you need at a glance.

If you’re enjoying the app, a quick rating or review really helps.
