## What is Pixbu?

Habit tracking doesn't have to feel like work. A tiny pixel pet is waiting for you in Pixbu: a glass of water, a short walk, one line in your journal… every small thing you do for yourself helps them grow and evolve.

YOUR BUDDY GROWS WITH YOU

Hatches from an egg and evolves through 6 stages by your side. Hug them, talk to them, breathe together.

SMALL STEPS, REAL PROGRESS

A ready-made task library or your own tasks. Complete with one tap, undo instantly. Your first step of the day counts double.

STEP-BY-STEP ROUTINES

Morning and evening routines shown one step at a time — zero overwhelm. Build your own routines and break big tasks into small steps.

REMINDERS, YOUR WAY

Task-based, at the time you choose, only if you want them. Your buddy nudges gently — never nags.

FOCUS MODE

Work with a visual timer while your buddy sits beside you. Focusing doesn't have to feel lonely.

A FORGIVING STREAK

Life happens — we know. Auto streak freezes and the "hug + one tiny task" repair mean your streak doesn't vanish overnight. No punishment, no guilt.

GOALS — YOUR PIXEL PIGGY BANK

Books, savings, kilometres… set one big goal and watch your piggy bank fill with every contribution. The app tells you when you'll get there at this pace.

PRIVACY FIRST

No account, no email, no ads. Your tasks, your buddy and all your progress stay on your device; only anonymous crash and usage records that can't be linked to you, plus (if you buy Buddy+) an anonymous purchase-verification record, are sent to our servers.

If you're looking for a gentle, focus-friendly habit tracker and self-care companion that feels like a game: Pixbu is waiting.

HOME SCREEN WIDGET

See your buddy right on your Home Screen: their level, your streak and your next task at a glance.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-01

"How did today go?" is now only asked in the evening: one compact row you can close.
On Today, Focus Mode and "Just one thing" sit side by side, leaving more room for your tasks.
Every language can now be picked under Language, night reminders no longer say "good morning", and menus scroll with large text.

### 1.0.9 — 2026-09-25

Pixbu now speaks 9 languages: Italian, Japanese and Korean are here, and Portugal gets its own European Portuguese.
Several small bugs were fixed.

A fresh look: the tab bar and task icons are now drawn in the same pixel style as your buddy.
Tasks are more flexible: push one with "Not today, tomorrow", mark a forgotten one as done yesterday, and edit your reminders.
Complete a task or move it to tomorrow right from the notification, without opening the app.
The new "How did today go?" card saves your day in one tap. A crash and several bugs were fixed.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-09-18

Your buddy is much more alive. Every buddy, at every stage, has new
animations, so you no longer see the same few moves on repeat.
Sleep is real sleep now: your buddy lies down, curls up and closes its
eyes.
Signature Animations actually show up. They used to be so rare that most
sessions never saw one; now they appear during a normal session.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-29

Focus Mode: a session that ends in the background now reports back with your discovery and XP.
The same session is never counted twice; the double celebration is fixed.
Widget and icon shortcut work on the first tap: Hug and Done no longer get lost.
When the day rolls over, the widget stops showing yesterday's numbers.
Goals: pace, projected date and days left are counted correctly.
Fixes: wrong buddy stage in Focus Mode from the widget, notification prompt asked twice.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-25

New in this update:

• A new companion species: Lumeling, the deer of the light forest.
• Your buddy now reacts when you finish something — a little hop, a spark of light.
• Fixed the Slime Cat's teen and adult artwork, which was showing the wrong sprite.
• Fixed cosmetics drifting away from your buddy on smaller screens.
• Smoother purchases, gentler goal milestones, and a lot of small polish.

Thanks for being here from day one.
