First off, I LOVE the visuals and sprite-like characters. The touch controls mostly work well, or at least as well as they do on some iOS "sim" soccer games. The primary problem I have with the game is that while it's very colorful and entertaining, there isn't much rhyme or reason to which scoring chances result in a goal. I recognize that this is an arcade interpretation of soccer, so goofy things are meant to happen. But it's frustrating when sky high dump-in lobs that only happened because I hit the wrong button end up in the net, while complicated one-timers or charged up power shots end up being caught by the goalie 95% of the time. The game rewards cheese as often as it rewards strategy, and the goalies seem to have been made unrealistically good to compensate for how easy it is to generate scoring chances. I'd like to see just a little more realism injected into the mix. I'd rather have 5-4 games where the goals were "earned" than a bunch of 2-1 games where the goals were scored in ridiculous fashion. Still, tons of potential here, and even "as is", it's a good amount of fun. ### 3/5 — Open and start playing *2016-09-09, version 1.0.5* It sad to say this might actually be one of the most fun soccer games on the App Store. Pros: you DON'T have to buy anything else after you get the game, that's rare in today's gaming experience It is fun, simple (this might be a con for some), but fun. The lack of licensing is understandable, good job anyways. Cons: A lot of bugs. There has to be some serious updates. Really simple. Like I said, this can be seen either way, as a good thing or as a bad thing. The game can get too repetitive really fast, making it boring to play after a while. After what they did to FIFA, where you can only have the ultimate team mode, and where other games you have to be either buying extra coins or wait to get enough "energy" to play the next game, this is extremely direct. Open the app and play, that's the way games should be (or at least be an option). In general good job for a relative low budget game. ### 4/5 — Great game, that just needs a little more. *2016-08-30, version 1.0.4* Matches are fun, quick, and easy. One option I would like is to have golden goal rule instead of penalty kicks. Too many times I've had great matches spoiled by the computer tripping over the ball and me winning a 5-3 or 5-4 shootout. I'd rather play for as long as it takes to get that last goal. A Dynasty/Season mode would complete this. Even if it's just the pixel cup teams. Something additional where there's maybe a small amount of player management involved. The teams stats could change every year based on performance. Things like that would bring me back even more. ### 5/5 — Really Love This Game *2016-08-27, version 1.0.4* I am loving this game. I play it everyday everything is perfect except one little tiny thing. The game is perfect, but there is a very teeny tiny bug that kinda bugs me when you win penalty kicks by scoring the winning goal, your team runs to celebrate except your goalie. I would like it for everyone in the team to celebrate, but it seems he comes along if he blocks the winning goal. That's my only problem but besides that, excellent game! ### 4/5 — Great, silly app but... *2016-08-26, version 1.0.4* This app is phenomenal. An easy-to-use interface and relatively good controls make it a fun experience. Quick competitions make for a great time-filler, but there is one vital flaw. If you choose random selection, at the knockout stages, the games glitches out and crashes after the first round. Needs fixing, but otherwise a good game! ### 3/5 — Apple TV version has controller issues *2016-08-25, version 1.0.4* The game is great on iphone. This review is for the apple tv version (as there is no where to leave a review for said platform). The ATV remote currently needs to be held with the 'joystick' on the right side with the shoot/tackle button on the left. Not sure if this is an oversight but every other game controller in history has it the other way: joystick/directional pad on the left, buttons on the right. The shooting system is dumb. Some shots float in from half field but a full powered up shot from 10 yards won't go in? What's the point of them? The only way to score is a rebound which the goal almost always catches anyways. And finally it's IMPOSSIBLE to win penalty kicks. It's impossible to save and 3/5 shots the player takes hits the post. The shooting system is the worst thing ever. But one thing i've always wanted in this game is to be able to play with clubs. Like play as Real Madrid or Barcelona.
