But don’t expect to be able to listen to music or a podcast while playing. Start up the game and loud, obnoxious music starts. If you go to settings you can turn “GamePlay Music” to off… but that doesn’t stop the music until the coin flip is over. But at least the music finally stopped. However all the sound effects continue while playing the game. It’s a fun game. I will gladly play it more and make my review 5 stars if the game is updated with an actual silent mode. ### 3/5 — I really like it but… *2022-02-22, version 2.20* Half the time when the football lands with part of it on the line the ref doesn’t count it as a touchdown. That’s the whole point of the game, and considering it doesn’t even work is frustrating. If this is fixed I’ll definitely change it to 5 stars. ### 2/5 — Sound glitch *2022-02-03, version 2.20* This is a fun game to kill some time or to mess around with while you’re listening to a podcast, but all of the sudden today, the game now has obnoxious background sound that can’t be turned off, I have no need for this game if I can’t play it while listening to a podcast in the background so until that’s fixed it’s no good. 4-5 star game otherwise. ### 5/5 — Best simple mobile game ever *2022-01-20, version 2.20* I started playing paper football when I was in sixth grade. All of the boys would gather around a small table, watching a match, cheering opposing players on, and even placing bets with their lunch food 😂. It was super serious for us. Those memories came back to me when I got this game. I know it’s just a mobile game, but on long car rides, or even just at home, I play this with my younger brother. Of course, real table football is better, but this is simply the next best thing. great game! 5 stars for sure! -paper football prince ### 3/5 — Good overall, music won't switch off *2022-01-04, version 2.20* Great game! I like the idea of being able to sit down and play with someone. Two problems 1 not being able to practice field goals specifically. 2 the music won't turn off, it didn't initially. But I like to play single player games with a video overlay. Challenging but also easy to get the hang of! My suggestions below are only things I think would make the game even better! 1. Online/WiFi/Friend based multiplayer! It’d be great if I could play at my desk and my buddy could at his during our lunch breaks 2. Customizable Tournaments! Whether it be bigger tournaments or different formats, it’d be great to even just have an 8 team tourney so that no one gets a bye round. 3. Season mode! This could just be a simple single player season mode or even one you could have with multiple people. Like I said, love this game and will recommend to all my buddies! ### 5/5 — Absolutely love this game *2021-12-17, version 2.20* One of the best football games in the App Store. I remember playing this in elementary school by folding up a loose leaf paper and use the cafeteria table as the field. Hooked on the tournament mode. Still learning kicking fg’s and determining how much power to use when swiping. Currently, find it much easier the further I’m away from the end-zone. Would love a league mode with a regular season to determine tournament seeding. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — I want to like this game, but I just can’t. *2025-12-18, version 2.20* Kicking is bad, the goal posts moving makes it unbelievably hard to make XPs/FGs. Also, the medium AI should be a bit easier. It shouldn’t get a touchdown every 3 hits, and make 90% of XPs/FGs. Aside from that the game is good, it’s just the kicking is insanely hard and the AI is too overpowered. ### 1/5 — I want to like this game, but it doesn’t work *2025-09-23, version 2.20* For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get the ball to the other side of the table. Flicking has no power to it. Even in practice mode, I’ll hit the middle of the ball with a fast flick and it’ll sputter not even close to the goal line. Only on occasion do I score, and there’s no tutorial explaining how flicking even works. If I had read the description properly in the first place i wouldn’t have bought the game. I paid £2 for a game of “flicking a paper triangle back and forth” I must have been drunk! And it’s not even a good game of flicking a piece of paper. **Developer response:** Nisma, I believe there is a misunderstanding on the paper football terminology. For anyone reading this, this game is based on the table top game of American paper football which at it's core is flicking a paper triangle back and forth across a dinner table, school lunch table etc attempting to score. This game is NOT based on the tactical soccer game played on a piece of paper.
