I love style pixel games and especially a dungeon one with decent gear names and looks. Completely flexible character builds is what makes this such a good game. With three base classes and six final skill paths, no one’s build will be exactly the same, since you have total control over what you want and where you put your skill points. With player made dungeons, tiered standard dungeons, and multiplayer mode, you can play for hours while fine tuning your build. The recent update shows how much the dev listens to players by changing certain game features for the better, while adding some QoL and customization updates as well. That's when I saw her - a beautiful blonde who caught my eye from across the room. I mustered up the courage to approach her and we started talking. The conversation was easy and effortless, and I found myself drawn to her. As the night went on, I felt a strong connection between us and I thought it would be a good idea to invite her over to my place. However, just as I was about to make the offer, she declined. To my surprise, the reason was that I didn't have the game "Pixel Quest RPG" downloaded on my phone. I was disappointed but didn't let it get me down. I was determined to see her again and show her that I was worth her time. So, I went home that night and downloaded the game, determined to impress her the next time I saw her. Fast forward to the present time, and I'm now happily married to that same blonde girl. We have two beautiful children, a dog, and my life has changed for the better in ways I could have never imagined. Not only did I win over the love of my life, but my boss at work was so impressed with my work ethic and dedication that he transferred his business to me in his will. It's amazing to think about how much can change in just a few years, all because of a simple game download. I'll always be grateful for that chance encounter at the bar and for "Pixel Quest RPG" bringing us together ### 5/5 — Amazing take you back in retro 2d mmo *2023-01-17, version 2.4.3* Great job guys !! Please don’t stop with updates and make this even better. Guild creation would be a good add to the mix . ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Was a really fun game. *2022-12-17, version 2.3.9* All of a sudden I got an error saying it did t know me and then logged me out. I can’t log in because it keeps telling me it doesn’t know me and then when I try to start a new character it tells me every combination of letters is taken, even just random letters. ### 1/5 — Can’t get in!!! *2021-01-17, version 1.6.2* Every time I open the app it tells me to login. When I do it takes me back to the same login page. No matter what I do I’m taken back to that page ### 2/5 — Very boring *2025-02-16, version 2.5.4* There’s not as much to do as there could be. Mage class feels awful because half your health gets smacked out of you before you ever cast anything. Enemies always go first so good luck getting your heal off unless you only build speed. If you build for speed good luck doing real damage. All in all nothing special and all early classes feel like butt unless you go for straight power and survivability. Needs a lot of work but fun concept at least. ### 2/5 — Can’t log in *2024-08-29, version 2.5.4* Was going fine and then I couldn’t log in anymore and then lost momentum and just deleted, wasn’t cool enough to try and fix a login issue. ### 2/5 — Well *2024-04-09, version 2.5.4* It’s ok ### 3/5 — Time-locked content with little instruction *2023-01-03* The game would, I believe, benefit greatly with an in-game, detailed repository of mechanics, tools, locations, etc. As is, it seems to want to do too much with too little information provided to the player. The gameplay feels boilerplate with little to separate it from similar games. Unsure about multiplayer aspects as I avoid such aspects. As for time-locked content, I fear that, as one progresses, the wait/slog may become exhausting (and if reducing that time is incentivized by in-game purchasing, for shame.) My worthless “two-cents” take: enough to waste a few moments, but not enough to keep one’s attention. **Developer response:** Thank you for the precious feedback! Keeping in mind you can't skip timers by purchasing something (as that would be pay to win, which is something we avoid) - timers are placed strategically on specific content to push the players to discover and enjoy all the game modes. Multiplayer is a blast, has no timers, and even gives some additional rewards - so it's a shame you wouldn't even try it out. But there's also the Player-Made Dungeons, which really grant the players double the solo dungeon charges at a time. We can see how someone not playing multiplayer modes at all could feel it limited though. We would like to know more about your opinion on the gameplay. Pixel Quest has a uniquely (at least in the mobile panorama) balanced fighting system, one in which all skills unlocked are good and none gets replaced by another you unlock further up - your character grows bringing with itself all that was unlocked. The fighting also has several different mechanics (e.g. elemental bursts and counter) that makes it more engaging than other games. We would like to know if you got to experience those, and if they didn't feel like the discovery (they should) and rather you felt possibly frustrated by not being explained everything without having to discover some on your own by trying. Many improvements have been made to make the cooperative game experience better but one thing that was dropped was the ability to communicate with your group during battles.
