Very intuitive to use. I love the feature that lets you individually drop pixels using precision controls, rather than touching the screen. Some of the menu options such as symmetry are quite hard to find and I find it frustrating to set this every time I add a new layer. I would like if there was an option to adjust the hue and saturation of a full layer. **Developer response:** Hi! You need to open Fx menu and choose Adjust color. Для поддержки кросс-платформы необходимо приобрести CROSS в Стиме ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — 2種類の「Pro」 *2024-02-15* 無料の「Pixel Studio for pixel art」でイラスト作品を幾つか描いた後に、それらをpsdで書き出す必要が出てきたので、書き出しボタンから「psd」を選択したら、「psdでの書き出しはProのみの機能」だという注意書きが出てきた。 しかしその画面に課金ボタンなどは無かったので、App Storeで「Pixel Studio PRO for pixel art(本アプリ)」を2000円で購入。 しかし、こちらのアプリでは、「Pixel Studio for pixel art」で作ったファイルが開け無かった為、改めて「Pixel Studio for pixel art」の中を操作していたところ、なんと同アプリ内に「アプリ内課金」のボタンを発見。そちらで再度2000円を支払い、無事、「Pixel Studio for pixel art」からpsdでの書き出しが出来た。 「Pro」の指し示すものが二つあるように勘違いさせる説明になっており、2000円を2回、計4000円払ってしまう事になったので、余計な2000円を返金して欲しい。 ### 1/5 — バグだらけ *2023-11-19* すぐバグが起きます 大切な作品が壊れます 遊びならなんでもいいがプロなら絶対おすすめしない ゴ残念なアプリ 自分がもう永遠に使わない **Developer response:** Hi! I accidentally added a gray color and tried to delete or change it to a darker tone but it was impossible. The select button does nothing. Frustrating. Also, unable to share psp files. This “pro” app allows you to share only gif and png. Waste of money! **Developer response:** Hi! If you need to change a color in the palette you need to open Palette tool, choose color from the top of the screen and change it using color picker. Thanks! ### 3/5 — Decent!! *2023-01-04, version 4.33* Cool but would prefer if you could stop the popups that feature other artists! ### 3/5 — Amazing app for pixel art but… *2023-01-04* So everything in the drawing UI is intuitive and really awesome for making art. There are guides to tell you what everything does and awesome layers aspect. The issue I’m having is saving my files. I paid for the app in order to be able to export and organize and not be limited by how many I can save or animate. The issue is I’m having a lot of trouble doing even that. Every time I try to save it just goes into the backup folder. And if I’m being honest I’m not sure it’s actually saving it is just the systems auto save there. The other issue I’m having is when I try to create another folder to save files in it restarts the app taking me back to the screen that tells me to create a new project or go to the file manager. And I’m not sure if it is a bug or a feature but there is no distinguishing between a save, a save as. If I click it just always exports it to the files making a new copy which can be annoying to keep track of. But besides that once the saving UI is fixed I’d gladly change my rating and update my review. **Developer response:** Hi! Thank you for the review. Single dev. *2026-07-15* Definitely plenty of features for advance devs and artists, but worth it for anyone who wants to start out in pixel art or animation. There’s a desktop app which is great for hot keys but requires a second PC copy for cloud saves. I also believe there’s a lite version to try free. It’s very similar to Aseprite on Mac and PC, which is a compliment!
